Hierro comes in for Billy Wright, as I think his size and strength matches van Basten better. Varela also comes in for Kante for the same reason. I don't need Kante's mobility, and Varela's strength and defensive prowess is a better match for Platini. The rest of the team remains unchanged. My team will continue to pay a deep defensive block, looking to counter-attack with the high-pace front three, supported by Charlton, Moreno, and Carlos.
Quarter Finals - Results After the reglamentary time, these were the results @Perú FC qualifies to SF2 The matches A, B, D goes to a Penalty shootout!!!
Quarter Finals - match A SH v TBM (votes 4-3-5) Sammer's Hammer 2 (Eusebio, Garrincha) thebigman 2 (Henry, Messi) Der Hammers enters this match as favourite, but TBM's attack put a great display, winning the game remaining 20', with Messi being a nightmare for Camacho, who was close to earn a yellow. For TBM, also Carvalho was close to a yellow for fouling Garrincha at last resort, when cutting inside the box. At the end of normal playing time, the game ended in a draw, which means, the First Game coming into a Penalty shootout. Sammers Hammer: GK - Grosics Penalty takers - Hagi, Eusébio, Džajić, Blanc, Garrincha. thebigman: GK - Casillas Penalty takers - Messi, Henry, Gullit, Scholes, C.Alberto
Quarter Finals - match B Odiseo v JJMM (votes 4-6-2) tLB Odiseo 1 (Ronaldo Nazario) JJMM1---1 (J.Bican) The second game was another tight match between one of the best attacks facing a great defense. This match was well played in the Fair Play spirit. Ro-Ro duo is playing in great form this tournament, being Dinho close to score in a Free Kick, but the rebound was netted by R9 into the net. The MotM Zidane gives many troubles to Zito, unable to stop him, like when Zizou dribbles him with a Roulette before to making a nice through ball to Bican scoring a great goal. With the final whistle, this was another game coming into a Penalty shootout. tLB Odiseo: GK - Zoff Penalty takers - Ronaldo R9, Krol, Ronaldinho, Júnior, Netzer. JJMM1: GK - Carrizo Penalty takers - Zidane, Bican, Jairzinho, Baresi, Pirlo.
Quarter Finals - match C Peru FC v poetgooner (votes 8-3-2) Perú FC---2 (van Basten, Stoichkov) poetgooner 1 (Pelé) Peru's team is having a great tournament. Stoichkov was the key man this game, making Crompton and Hierro going crazy to stop him, being the first one, close to earn a yellow. Also, Monti was another key player, marking Pelé with all sort of arts. This way, were Platini and Moreno whom leads the attacks of their teams.
Quarter Finals - match D wm v OT (votes 5-3-4) wm442433---1 (Maradona) OT_Capitano 1 (Rivelino) wm's team is the big surprise this tournament (eliminating LM's team and almost winning this one, two of the favourites in the Bets). They scores first with a nice shot by Maradona, it looks that the shoot was deflected in Sheva, but the VAR conceded to Maradona the opener. After that, the OT's german duo, take control of the game, scoring Rivelino the equaliser after a fine assist by der Kaiser, who won the MotM award. The third game going into a Penalty shootout. wm442433: GK - Banks Penalty takers - Rummenigge, Amoros, Modric, Shevchenko, Maradona OT_Capitano: GK - Kahn Penalty takers - Piola, Beckenbauer, Savicevic, Rivera, Matthaus.
Me and my rival have some amazing shooters all of them averaging near 90% penalty accuracy...so it wont come down ro that The difference for me comes in the goalkeepers From what i could find Gordon Banks has had 14 penalties shot at him saving only one averaging a 7.1% saving accuracy Oliver Kahn has had 79 penalties shot at him saving 17 thats a 21.5% saving accuracy And oliver Kahn is ruthless in penalties from what we can see from this article: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sp...ootout-and-saved-every-shot-20190523.amp.html
Votes are open for the Penalty Shootouts in the matches A, B, D. Managers have 1 day to any comments. Then, 2 days are given to sent the voting.
I wanna put some emphasis on some of my shooters that are of the older generation and main shooters PIOLA 26G - 3M (89.6% succes rate) first shooter, has a lot of experience shooting under pressure and a high succes rate RIVERA 39G - 4M (90.6% succes rate) 4th shooter and my best shooter in this shootout..experience, calm under pressure and amazing quality MATTHAUS 66G - 7M (90.4% succes rate) matthaus has an amazing succes rate and hes the one who has shot the most penalties. so hes the one with the most experience from all the shooters thats why hes shooting the most important penalty. Beckenbauer and Savicevic have a lot of quality shooting and wont fall under pressure...they havent shoot as much as the above but they are a guarantee of quality
How exactly do we vote? Do we simply provide a winner, or do we give some specifics? (Exact scores, who missed a penalty etc)
We can find the Beckenbauer' stats, just the same way as the others : https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franz-beckenbauer/elfmetertore/spieler/72347 50% convertion rate, Beckenbauer. 4-4. Savicevic has no pk goals in Europe and just 1 against Malta in NT. Doens't look like a pk shooter if any doubt. He has 10 out of 12 according to transfermarkt (being a more recent player it must be more exact/ complete), half of them in the Austrian league with Rapid Wien (5, 1 miss here too). KHR scored penalties, Amoros scored plenty with Monaco + 1 against Pfaff (11 not conceded out of 32) in '86, Modric : ok, Shevchenko scored against Kahn from the pk spot also against Buffon in pso, 5th Maradona. Within full time Zahovic has 6-0 registered, Carboni 0 pk's taken, Pellegrino 0 pk's taken. Still according to Transfermarkt since it was the source used.
Like i said we both have good shooters there is not much difference there. I put the stats of Rivera and Piola because they are of the classic era and most ppl doesnt have reference of them as PK shooters...and brought up Matthaus cuz hes my best shooter. Savicevic has a 10 out of 12 which is a good scoring average I didnt put beckenabuer stats cuz its conflicting stat due to the total amount not being higher than 10 making the average not as reliable as the other shooters who have 20+ But like i said the difference for me sits in the GK and there the difference is quite obvious. Here is a video of Kahn saving 3 penalties in a shootout But goodluck and may the best men win
Beck was simply not good at it that's what the numbers tell : total of pk taken (even though it must be a bit more with the oberliga and such) and the ratio. Savicevic was by no mean a pk taker, in any context, club or nt. Until Rapid Wien. You're posting the video of Valencia wich I have commented just before. Those 3 penalty takers were not specialists, especially the last two with 0 pen. taken during full time in career (recent players, so the stats must be exact).
Iker casillas has saved 23 out of 100 on transfer market https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/iker-casillas/elfmeterstatistik/spieler/3979 Messi 91/116 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lionel-messi/elfmetertore/spieler/28003 Messi 28/35 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thierry-henry/elfmetertore/spieler/3207 Gullit 3/3 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ruud-gullit/elfmetertore/spieler/101045 scholes 3/3 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-scholes/elfmetertore/spieler/3397 Carlos Alberto was renowned for pens but I can’t find stats
Results will be calculating the same way: 1º Determinating who wins. 2º Scorers, missed, saved penalties.
No other player would ever dare to do panenka penalty in world cup final against the best keeper of Italy all time, except Zizou. Another speciallity , Pirlo. Baresi, in Modern Era (before 1990), kick 21 penalties, and just failed 3. Remember that I pich him in Modern Era, after 90´s don’t count. Link: https://www.transfermarkt.es/franco-baresi/elfmetertore/spieler/42049 About Bican, i find this: “He was a great all round player and could score with both feet as well - he even took penalties with both feet. It was said of him that he only missed one goal-scoring chance in 20.” About Jairzinho I couldn’t find something about penalties. The keepers with the most penalties saved in the history of River. Amadeo Carrizo leads the ranking of those who most contained a shot from the 12 steps, with 19 saves. It should be noted that definitions by penalties are not contemplated. This is the moment of my players. 1st choice: Ronaldo O'PHENOMENON 2nd choice: Ruud Krol I've watched goals by penalty of him, although I could not find some. We know the he was a players made to face the highest pressure moments, his passing and shootout were superb. 3rd choice: Ronaldinho 4th choice: Leo Júnior He was the penalty-taker playing by Torino … min 2:15 and 3:55 … I've watched more goals by him. 5th choice: Gunter Netzer He was the penalty taker of his teams. One of the most precisely players of all time.
