Even if there is no sale, there should be a bunch of #3, #8, and #10 jerseys available. :D

    Funny that you mention that.

Last year there were a lot of #6s, #9s and #23s available, and sure enought they were later traded.

That's not how I remember it. I remember the sale (about a week before Moreno and Pope were traded) having very little #9 or #23 stuff. I went specifically to load up on Moreno merchandise and left with just one #9 item. (A pair of white shorts in a style DCU had stopped wearing.)

we were told at the us open cup this past summer that there would no end of the equipment sale by catherine marquette (I think that is how you spell her name).

But I am hoping that may change...would love to get a Dema jersey.

I remember they stopped doing the game-worn jersey auctions after each game because they were having supply problems with Adidas, and they had to 'conserve' their supplies to be sure they had enough. They may have the same situation with training gear as well, and maybe that would prevent them from doing an equipment sale.

I would think though that they still have plenty of older stuff that they can't use at all (esp. shirts with name like 'Hannig' and 'Cooks').... They just need to drop the prices a bit if they ever want to unload that stuff....

No! If you know about it, don't tell anyone. That way we get more access to all the good stuff.

    ;)

I hope DCU reconsiders and has a sale this year. I got a lot of Xmas shopping done that day!

Exactly. They're moving to brand-new home kits, so why not try to make some money off the old stuff? I'm always happy to plunk my hard-earned on United merchandise, seeing as how it's so hard to come by outside of a game.l

Last December when we knew about the '03 away jersey's, I was hoping to find some of the '00-02 long-sleeve away jerseys for sale, but found none.

Then, during the preseason, United wore those away jersey's for those early scrimmages. So, I'd imagine the same would occure this spring. The '01-02 home jersey's wouldn't be available (in large quantities) until next summer.

A lot of the stuff that fed early equipment sales had Mastercard logos which were unusable.

Maybe they could ditch some of last year's home stuff but not if they didn't have much to begin with.

Just because people know a meeting is going on that does not mean that they know where and when. ;)

Well here's a note from another source:

asked our equipment manager to set a date but have not heard back from him yet. I'll try to get an answer and have it posted as soon as possible.

    That's from Stephen Zack, today.
