I'd need to rewatch to see the entire sequence, but across multiple matches there's a move I've seen us repeat. A pass from about 40 yards from goal on the left side to the right channel inside the box. It appears as though the trigger is predetermined. Again, I'd have to watch it, but there's something rehearsed about it. I'm intrigued.
It was just a thought experiment. A way to achieve some goals whilst not compromising too much. Martial doesn't play like a traditional 9 anyway.
I'm really not worried about him tbh: he looks pretty good out there, all things considered, in terms of his overall (movement, energy levels etc). What's missing out there is that little bit of sharpness and once he'll have that (which will come with time/games), he'll be the player he was prior to going down. Plus, he's a confidence player: he bags his first, it won't be surprising to see go on a tear.
I quite enjoyed those two goals. Thought it was telling that Bruno's goal was a mirror image of when he hit the post a bit earlier.
We were 4 v 3 in their pen for that break-away goal - with Mason, Rash, Martial & Bruno. The runs of Rash and Martial key to leaving Bruno free. Great desire from the front four.
I dont understand Rashford. Why does he hold the ball for sooo long when there are clear abd present options available. Id rather he pick a simple pass and move, than slow the game down for no reason.
Fair. And he did have a bit of a hot start in terms of goals. But I feel like we have left some points of the table persisting with him over Greenwood.
I know it's still early and the following statement is a little hyperbolic...but I haven't seen a player transform a United side as much as Bruno since Cantona or maybe RVP. We look 100% different with him in the side.
Just out of curiosity - do you prefer Longstaff or Pogba, who's your favourite shutdown player and is there a Mrs Mile High RD on here anywhere?
