England at home. I definitely see this ending before pks. No red cards. England in white. Italy in Blue. My crystal ball is cloudy at the moment
No idea what this guy's saying, but I agree with every word.. 1412757567617503233 is not a valid tweet id
Quick translation. He gets frequently asked for whom he roots for after France being eliminated. He roots for Italy even if France had been still in the tournament. Alreaday when he was still active Italy was always in his heart. He praised Mancini and his former teammates Chiellini and Bonucci. The entire world made fun of Italy after their failure to qualify for the last World Cup. Now they are all quiet. It's always Italy that prevail.
Italy have a midfield that can command possession better and they should get the better of the chances as a result. If it goes to penalties, I have to think Donnarumma will be the harder keeper to beat. England have the home advantage and a good side in their own right, but it must be stressed that Italy have a little more quality where it will probably count most: in goal and the midfield. I have to think Italy edges it, but if Mancini doesn't get his team to see more of the ball, Italy will come under more pressure from England and probably the referee. I doubt Sterling will get away with another dive like he did against Denmark, but when it comes to 50-50 decisions, England will probably get them.
What referee conspiracy? England are at home. The referee is probably going to favor them more. It's very normal in football.
Don't worry. The final will be fair and square. UEFA won't intervene. England will win it by their efforts on the pitch.
By all means, if there's no shady calls and England win then England win and it's theirs, you won't hear no complaining from me.

Good! Bjorn Kuipers is the referee! He is very good at standing up to pressure from home fans. Probably one of the best choices!
Lol. That means that except for the quarterfinals they appounted a Dutch referee for all England games in the knockout stage. Strange.
They used the other Dutch ref for last game and the one against Germany. However, I watched England vs Germany and I don’t remember any controversial calls favoring England at all. It was pretty even and straight forward game.
You all may be unaware of it, but we Dutch have already been bribed by the English. The ref mentioned to be the one for the final is co owner of a supermarket chain that sponsors Max Verstappen, who's Dutch too. So for favourable decisions for the English team the price to pay was Hamilton losing Grand Prix races to Max. The most blatant example was when Max victory was blown apart by his exploded tyre just before he would finish as the winner. Guess what Hamilton only could win after that flat tyre, so he made a "mistake" that costed him the victory too That was a total coincidence....really
Kuipers has been nailed on to referee the final since before the tournament. Only the Netherlands actually making the final would have stopped this. It is Kuipers' retirement match and the current UEFA administration like awarding him high profile fixtures.
you are proving his point. Just like Germany is going through a rough patch right now... they will prevail and be back at the top and probably like us just needed a change in coaching. That is what THE two european giants do.
This must be the most depressing final for me to ever watch. I should be there but had to give up the ticket finally as I'll be watching from the red-listed Dominican Republic. Anyhow, either way, footballs coming home or going Rome. Prior to every international tournament I always say I want a team whose never won it before to win it. Can't believe it this list includes England who've not only never made the final before but have never even made the semis prior to this. Italy haven't fared much better having won only once back in what 68? Hard to believe these countries have 5 World Cups but only one, well I guess it's going to be 2 Euros between them...
I should have known this thread would not give actual takes on the match with just cynical banter going on. I think Italy wins. Probably some goal out of nowhere like the Chiesa golazo the other day.
