Lots of respect to you englishmen. I always liked your style of futball.

How are you men holding up against the Former Yugaslavia Republic of Macedonia?

Andorra got lucky scoring one against us, 4-1 like he said ^.

good luck to u,,,,, carefull of that equalizer....that team is tricky.

hargreaves and ferdinand have really earned their corn tonight because nobody else has showed up.
Downing looks like a pub footballer and the full-backs are a liability.

If we're going with just one up front then Crouch is not the best option. Johnson knows how to play as a lone striker and has the pace to trouble this defence.

    First half was garbage.

Second half an improvement but still not that impressive. And we are now playing 4-5-1.

The centre backs have been outstanding.

Well, I guess that hand ball let off has even up the Crouch non-penalty. Ashley Cole lucky clear. Lamps off. This is going to be interesting.

We were shite. Absolutely shite. No creativity, long ball shite, and hanging on to a 1-0 win against a bunch of no hopers. This is the type of thing I'd expect from Sven, but if this is a sign of things to come, then we haven't moved on at all.

Defoe was shocking all night too. By far the worst player on the pitch, everything just bounced off him.

1-0 wins are all you need - its the teams fighting for 2nd place that need to worry about goal difference.

Fucking awful, nothing has changed. P.Neville, Downing, Defoe not good enough, wasteful in possesion, a huge gap between midfield and a tiny frontman and a manager who's happy and content to hold a 1-0 lead against obscure and weak opposistion. I really don't know why I bother watching. Load of cack.

Mediocre performance but we got the win.

Lampard needs some time-out, he was a non-presence in midfield forcing Gerrard to come inside and we lost all width to our game. Downing was a fucking disgrace, Barry would have been a better option on the left for us today. Great performances by Terry and Ferdinand, they had to be good to cover for woeful efforts by the FB's.

Looking forward to having Cole and Rooney back in the team....

My thoughts exactly mate. Truly shocking stuff. No one had better defend Macedonia, they are shite, and that's the end of it. Sure they tried hard against us, but so do Scotland.

No excuses from me here, truly shocking performance.

Defoe was poor but not in the same league as Downing, I can't remember him doing one thing right all night.

    Utter shite.

    Sack McClaren.

We should give up international football, we're clearly no good at it.

6 points in the bag. Ref loved the attention with the whistle. Tricky but lucky game. Owen Hargraves another great game. What happen to McClaren prediction of Downing? Still no speed or trick up his sleves again? Neville...is well Neville. Crouch the man again...nuff said.

    Hang loose guys

Well it could be worse - like Spain losing to Northern Ireland!

    Brings back some memories :)

Prawn and Colm please no more ''at least we got three point statements'', we should be expecting three points but we should be aiming for three 'deserved' points and a team which has some substance and style.

Exactly. To put it into context over these international fixtures, Italy dropped points against Lithuania, Portugal in Finland and Spain are being held by Northern Ireland. We were far from our best, but we won. Macedonia, to be fair, are not a bad side - if they had a decent centre forward then they could cause teams problems and the ref was fussy beyond belief, but that does not excuse our performance. Ferdinand and Terry come out with good positives, Hargreaves as well and Crouch's goal excuses him. Other than that all the outfield players were poor.
