Such shit teams should have to go through some sort of qualifiers before getting to this stage.

And playing internationals on a Friday is a bad, bad idea.

The reason I am against it is because it makes it almost impossible for England fans from outside the South East to attend because they don't really have enough time to get to the match after work. Having both matches on weekdays just benefits fans who live close to Wembley.

Of course England continue to blow away everyone else when it comes to average crowd attendances for International matches. San Marino will likely never play in front of 90,000 people ever again. In fact Wembley will hold almost 3 times the entire population of San Marino tonight!

Nice to see Cahill and Jagielka together. Still not sure about Baines, tbh, but if this lot present any problems for us we really ARE in trouble.

Oxlade-cham is not ready for the full internationals. I would stick Adam Johnson in that left wing slot .

Pony tactics by Hodgson. The only thing we needed was a target man against a team like this. Though I thought that San Marino would still be handled despite the poor setup.

Rooney and Welbeck are supplying no runs or movement whatsoever.

Bang on. There's no-one there to be on the end of crosses... well if any of the crosses were above head height. A few of the players are failing to do the basics right as well which is disappointing.

Welbeck makes it 2-0, nice finish.

A basic target man / bang in crosses tactic would be all we need.
not the "try to pass through the middle of a narrow 10 man defence and make no runs" tactic.

though Moldova have just done us a favour and held Ukraine.

Pleased about that. There will be a lot of points dropped in this group.

I'm amazed Moldova took a point. I mean I know we scored early against Moldova but they looked woeful in so many areas against us.

It's going to take a lot to convince me that Cleverley deserves a place in the England team. 24 years old and this is all he can do? I'm not impressed. At least AOC has age on his side so his poor play can be forgiven.

    6-0 at full time anyone?

HEAD height? What, all the way up there? :(

Half of them have failed to get above knee height.

And they've continued this fine tradition in the second half.

    Shelvey coming on?

As this is a competitive Senior International, he's now tied to England I believe. :)

A target man would have made this an easy night. The tactics have made it a harder night than it should have been .
