Pace isn't the be all and end all of Football. I'd like to see Livramento get some more game time,.But putting him in his 3rd game for Newcastle against Mbappe is asking for trouble.
Tbf Livramento is an excellent lock down defender and a ridiculous athlete. Pitting him against Mbappe might be too much right now given he's still fresh off his ACL injury but if he had another few months of football under his belt I'd probably start him in this one and put Trippier at left-back over Burn (whose limited ability on the ball was a big hindrance against Milan).
Guardiola on Rico Lewis: "He played good, huh? What a player. What a player. 18 years old. Ive been a manager for 14-15 year, training unblievable players, to find a player like him in the pockets, how he has to move, moving into the spaces, he’s one of the best i ever trained,…— Sam Lee (@SamLee) October 4, 2023
I saw some dullard on one of the German boards questioning how Energy Drink Fc were losing with Rico Lewis in midfield for City, I presumed he’d never seen him play before, because anyone who has wouldn’t have made such stupid statement.
"A real mature, coming of age, knockout performance by him!"@honigstein was just as impressed as the rest of us watching Rico Lewis this evening...#UCL pic.twitter.com/VLUiVjfBef— Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) October 4, 2023 1709685336622670016 is not a valid tweet id
Didn't realise quite how much Birmingham fans love Jay Stansfield until now. Be interesting to see if he gets the nod in Friday's squad because he seems to be performing very well at the minute.

Iam from Germany and trust me.... The most guys over on the germany board aren't even German lol. The most troll guy over there Ger90 is a little kid and nothing more. He's just constantly shitting on other country's. Germany right now is TRASH. Even being born in Germany and being German, I feel nothing for the German national team or their past. I don't like their players. I support England more... I liked their past iconic players more (gerrard, Rooney, gascoigne etc.). And they have done more in youth development the last years. Germany wants to change that.... But still living in the past. None of their youth players getting a chance in the Buli.( a few yes..... But negligible)
This site is American so a lot of the 'Italians' and 'Germans' only have relatively distant ancestry to those nations. Are you of English heritage?
Nope... Iam pure German. (going through family tree.) I was in England a few times on vacation. So you guys always had a sweet spot in my heart. I mean speaking with other German friends about German footy and the NT. They all feel the same..... Detached from it. Then seeing the contrast in the German forum here..... I dont know in which world they are living lol
Lucky we avoided that massacre then by him not playing on that side as im sure that would have made all the differrnce mate
I completely understand where you’re coming from. I have friends who are German and Italian ( born and raised ) so it surprised me seeing the amount of trash that gets talked about other Countries on those threads. Like you say, you distinctly get the feeling most are young kids based in the US looking for reactions.

Good squad, not hugely surprised to see Dane Scarlett dropped. Also annoys me how they keep putting Rico Lewis down as a defender in these squads.
