Chris Rigg will be in the shop window with England U17s this month - and German giants are watching the Sunderland midfielder. (The Sun on Sunday)
Manchester City are interested in Everton's 16-year-old academy goalkeeper Douglas Lukjanciks and could pay up to £10m for the England Under-17 international. (Sun)
Any idea when the squad will be named for the Euros? quite a few teams seem to have announced theirs already, which isn’t a surprise since the tournament starts in a week!
Isn’t it usually the day before the first game when the squad is announced? The FA like to keep us waiting for these things!
The women's squad was announced on May 4th with their first game on the 5th so it's highly likely that the men's will be the same. Wales announced their squad on the 26th April!
TBR Football understands that Newcastle remain hopeful of winning the battle to land Sunderland star Chris Rigg.16-year-old Rigg looks increasingly likely to leave Wearside and when he does he will have his pick of clubs.https://t.co/5CE2oic7Ce— Graeme Bailey (@GraemeBailey) May 13, 2024

🔵 Manchester City are happy with their young GK Oliver Whatmuff from the Academy for the future, who recently signed new deal at the club.No talks are taking place for Douglas Lukjanciks despite reports of swap deal with Everton. pic.twitter.com/xEoMeHEh1a— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 14, 2024
He doesn't get talked about that much because he's a defender but Amass must be one of the biggest prospects in the system currently. I watched the game last night and he stood out above all the other players with his ability but also his confidence.
He’s the one player in a very good team that catches my eye every time he plays. So, so press resistant and very similar to Luke Shaw as a youngster.
You can see in this interview that his adrenaline is still pumping from making his PL debut. 🎙️ “As a young player coming through the Academy you want to make your debut, it’s probably the best feeling I’ve ever had.”Mikey Moore reflects on his Spurs debut 🤍 pic.twitter.com/iJ4xkaamvq— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) May 14, 2024 Also a very honest interview regarding the level of PL football. Along with the pressure, the speed of the game is why some really good looking players at youth level can't step up. Not saying this about Moore by the way but now he knows what level he needs to reach. I wonder if some clubs stop players from going to involve them with their senior squads this weekend. Perhaps Moore getting his debut yesterday means he will be joining up.
If he goes on that trip to Australia he can’t be in this U17 squad can he? Would be a bizarre decision. 🚨🥇| Mikey Moore is likely to head out on the post-season trip to Melbourne and could also be included in the pre-season tour to Japan and Korea in order to further his development 🌟🤍@AlasdairGold pic.twitter.com/AuQj6FCbSk— The Spurs Express (@TheSpursExpress) May 15, 2024
I guess Moore, Amass and Nwaneri are most at risk of being held back by their clubs given their first team involvement this season. If Moore does miss the tournament along with the injured Lacey, I wonder if Dowman might get called up. The women's u17s have a 14 year old with them at their Euros in Jane Obaovwoduo.
