southgate says the mischievous three might not be available for any of the games. So I would assume that grealish will certainly start all 3 plus saka at leftback
France look the shit. Their strength in depth is unreal. Theyre certainly the team to beat. Spain look average, so many average players.
So we’ve got the mischievous three, the bio-bubble two and the Greek one. Not the best start to the campaign on the behaviour front.
I take back what I said about mbappe. Hes really starting to shine for france now. Still think Greenwood can be as good as him in a couple of years

That's pretty ordinary on paper but when there's Jack Grealish there's hope. I hope that Winks plays.
I would say exciting. Saka at left back. Reece james at rightback. Grealish and dcl up front. Shame the centre midfield looks poor
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...te-insists-England-stick-3-4-3-formation.html not impressed with Southgate's explanations. He's obssessed about keeping clean sheets great but he doesn't think the right way IMO. The more time you spend in your opponent's half the less likely you're gonna concede. I find him more and more annoying, he's overthinking it. He must accept that he's not a great tactician and think about playing good players, not trying to copy the tactical systems that worked for other teams.
Yeah, four debuts. Considering the schedule I’m not sure there is much choice. Unless you play this type of team in one of the other three games.
He always talks about needing ‘balance’ but continuously sacrifices it in matches for large periods because his systems are flawed for long spells in games. It’s either ultra defensive or very open play. He’s never going to be able to solve this because he’s just not a good enough coach or good at identifying individual needs in specific areas of the pitch. You can’t watch someone make the same mistakes over and over. Then expect things to be any different.
Shock horror....I'm in complete agreement with you here. England have never looked particularly convincing with 3 at the back. We have almost no attacking threat. The argument we look any better defensively is not a good one because we end up on the backfoot a lot more. The biggest problem is the midfield just gets completely overran. All that will happen trying this is we will struggle to score against weaker teams, and against better teams they will overrun us in midfield, push the wing backs back, and the front 3 will be left completely isolated as our increasingly panicked centre backs hoof the ball.
I don't have a problem with the players. Its the lack of caps. The front 3 have one cap between them, the midfield 2 have four caps and the full backs have none.
Michael Keane would have the same amount of caps (10) as the rest of the other players combined in that team.
Ward-Prowse will find himself in all kinds of trouble in that system. I would like to think Southgate would learn from it but if he hasn't already then I doubt he ever will.
