Well, it seems like Sturridge is back. If only he could stay fit until June and some others would come back after injuries, Roy will have a conundrum: Rooney, Sturridge, Kane, Welbeck, Walcott, Vardy. Who will stay home?
These are big IF'S but if Sturridge stays fit and scores regularly, Kane and Vardy carry on the good form and Welbeck comes back stronger and scoring, Rooney is going to be under pressure if he carries on his current form and Roy will be really under the cosh from the media to drop him. I doubt Roy will have the will power to drop Rooney though even if he plays garbage from now till the end of the season.
And to answer your question, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he left Vardy out, I think he will take Walcott as a midfielder that can double up as a striker if need be imo. The four strikers I think he will take ( not who I think fwiw ) Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Kane
Kane and Vardy , Rooney as we are short of talent up front . One from these three as they just can't be relied on to stay fit. Walcott , Sturridge and Welbeck as they're all injury risks . I'd actually take Defoe if he's not injured
http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/ nice to see Wales sliding away down the rankings..
Wales are way overrated. They only scored 9 goals in qualifying didn't they? And even then they were mostly Bale. The rest of their team is pretty average away from Williams and Ramsey. They should be ranked 20-30
Wales's ranking was always dramatically inflated by FIFA's absurd formula which effectively penalises any half-decent side that plays a friendly regardless of the result. The Elo ratings, which have been shown to be far more accurate for predicting results, currently have them at 45th in the world. At best they're in between the two.
But they played the game - Same as the Swiss. Got them better draws for qualifiers than they really should have got.
Jees you're like a dog with a bone .. It's all about opinion. England don't play attractive , cohesive , skilful football like may nations do . I said at the time that San Marino played some real nice , attractive football which was correct . They simply weren't fit or strong enough to sustain it , of course When England next meet Wales in a competition we should meet here after the game We simply can't retain the ball - are you denying that fact ???
I'm sorry but from memory San Marino never played attractive football full stop, they just put 10 men behind the ball and defend for dear life unless I watched another game?
I've made it clear a few times that they struggled due to poor fitness and practically zero organisation that's why they're so poorly rated . On occasions though they did play some nice football , strung passes together and looked cohesive . The moves always broke down but they did try and keep the ball . We , as usual , looked disjointed . The pundits said that it looked liked the England players has never played together before .
Just found one of YOUR recent posts on England ... You said what I have been saying ! Classic !! Life is good
If you see a comment like that. Confirmation its just some crap trolling routine. I personally filtered out that poster.. Im not gonna waste time reading drivel .
Well even though you presumably can't see this , I would add that my comments are being taken out of context somewhat.
So you've just admitted that you're not a true football fan , no wonder we all have different views on similar things . I want all the top players to be there next year , it's a pity there will be a few great Dutch players missing out .
