Talking to #MCFC fan at Copenhagen airport about his man of the match. De Bruyne? Foden? “John Stones,” he replied. Stepped into midfield, so important, great to see him back playing regularly, well-timed for City’s trophy chase and #ENG heading to Euros. Southgate’s best c-b.— Henry Winter (@henrywinter) February 14, 2024 🚨A new contract for Conor Gallagher appears the most logical course of action for Chelsea. He wants to stay. Tottenham will move for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher this summer if the 24-year-old England midfielder fails to agree an extension to his contract, which expires at the end of next season. Classic Rover. Not for me though. Top 5 players in the world sustain their form over at least a season and longer. Foden has stepped up in these past few months but he needs to stay at this level.
Curtis Jones and Mainoo in for Henderson and Phillips is just pure hyperbole! No way in a million years will Southgate do that when the Euro’s are a stones throw away.
It's Mark Goldbridge, hyperbole and stoaking outrage are his stock and trade. Not sure why FB even posts his opinions on here.
Conor Gallagher to Spurs would be an excellent move imo. He'd benefit massively from playing under a proper positional play coach and would play alongside midfielders who are very comfortable on the ball and who'd hide his limitations in possession. Hope it happens.

However if he is not back in time will that open up a spot for one of Jones or Mainoo? Or will Southgate replace him with a defender like Gomez.
You'd think if Trent were to miss out here then there's a high chance Curtis Jones gets called in, or even Phillips if Southgate's initial plan was to drop Phillips for Jones. Don't think Southgate has any intention of taking Trent as a defender.
I very doubt Southgate has been planning to drop Phillips for Jones. If he was going to bring Jones in before this it would have been as an extra midfielder. He could well call up more than 23 players for the two matches.
