BBC radio has just said the first team sheet said Sterling was Chelsea captain but then they got an updated team sheet saying it was Colwill.
Kalvin Phillips must get his move right in January. If he moves and doesn’t start regularly then he doesn’t have the buffer of Man City is very stacked in depth. Newcastle in particular is a risk becuase if he gets benched for Longstaff then how could he make it and Longstaff doesn’t.
Amazon interviewed Palmer and he said they wouldn't let him go on loan and it was fight for your place or get sold. So my guess is unless someone buys Phillips in Jabuary he ain't going no where.
In which case can he really be seen as a strong starter for the Euros. He is simply not playing enough - Rico Lewis is now very clearly above him at City as well. At least Henderson is actually paying despite at a lower level.
Only another year and half then all matches are back on Sky and TNT (Who are both American owned same as Amazon through.)
Sterling might as well not be on the field. Totally anonymous. Nice to see Levi Colwill being made captain though.

To be fair, that was after the tempo dropped off a lot. When United were pressing hard he was losing the ball a lot, including for United’s goal. A lovely goal from him though.
