Bellingham very much getting the Saka treatment from Ancelotti. Wish Madrid would bring him off more in games they’ve got wrapped up, especially given Ancelotti said himself that Jude’s tired and is nursing ankle discomfort.

 

As much as I rate Trippier at right back but I have to say that I think Livramento is better than him at left back and Southgate should really look to getting him in the next squad.

 

Will be interesting to see if he does.

Also going forward Will he take four full backs? Or will he only go for three with the fact the likes of Guehi and if selected Trent can cover.

 

Rashford has been so bad tonight that Antony feels like an upgrade.

 

Rashford’s form is getting to the level that if doesn’t improve by March he will very much relying on his past record to justify being selected.

 

He already did that last time. Gordon should be ahead of him now, and by a mile.

 

This is what frustrates me, football is about form and not what you did last season. If his form doesn’t improve then there’s little justification to include him when others like Gordon are in far better form.

 

The Telegraph are saying Sterling has been effectively retired by Southgate and speculating that Walker, Maguire, Henderson, Trippier and maybe Stones will all retire next summer.

 

I’m not sure what combination Southgate will go with but he has to also have an eye on the future and there will be no sympathy if we end up losing players like Livramento and Gordon when they will/are good enough.

The way things are going he won’t even be starting for Man United and Attacking depth is a lot stronger than what has kept the likes of Maguire and Phillips involved during periods of not playing.
