I moved this over from Art & Architecture forum, because it is all kinds of awesome and I could not stand to delete it. I am, after all, the Ovis Aire.
i'm glad you asked... this question has been the subject of fervent debate since Ralph Turnbull first asked at the National Snakehandlers Conference held in Middlesboro, Kentucky in 1934. Turnbull, who had been bitten by venomous snakes 47 times and had miraculously survived, went from handling snakes to biting their heads off. he has been quoted as saying, "Ya gotta holt 'em tight 'round the neck part, jest behint they's ears." when pressed, Turnbull confessed a fondness for kingsnake heads, but "jest 'bout inny snake'll do in a pench."
