No, the best argument has been mine: when you're on your deathbed, and your entire life is flashing before your eyes, having dumped Twitter means one less thing you have to spend your final moments feeling guilty about before the light goes out for the last time.
It hasn't rolled out to all platforms yet, so it doesn't show everywhere yet. However, it does show on the mobile app when I saw it yesterday. Basically it is an issue with the previous format being what people are used to. It used to have the User's text, then there would be a box that had a summary of the article and an image from the article. So, with the previous format, the summary of the article told people what was in the article. With the new format, they have removed the box around the article's headline, a quick summary and picture, so it is just the User's text and an image from the article. Due to the format change, people are now able to incorrectly represent what an article says. As an example, one of the tweets I saw yesterday had a link to an article from the Washington Post about how data from Tesla's Full Self Driving revealed that there have been 17 deaths from almost a thousand accidents while FSD was in use. The text of the tweet was something along the lines of "Tesla cancels Full Self Driving option after data reveals it caused thousands of deaths." With the previous format, the tweet would show the "Tesla FSD kills thousands" text, but immediately below it would be the headline saying "Tesla data reveals 17 deaths and almost a thousand accidents", then a quick summary, followed by a picture. The new format just shows the "Tesla FSD kills thousands" from the user's text and an image from the article. Since people are used to the old format, the assumption is that the article actually says FSD has killed thousands of people.
Ok, that makes more sense. I didn't realize that it was specific to how tweets appeared on other platforms. Thanks!

Not content with promoting a jew hater "OSINT" guy yesterday, Musk today promoting a meme that Israel gets all the media coverage compared to Ukraine. Don Jr had the same tweet.
I wonder whether the purpose of such comments is: 1. To suggest that the Jews control the media; 2. To suggest that the war in Ukraine isn't real; 3. Both of the above.
It's a win-win for them. They are white nationalists, so any opportunity to disparage Jews or Israel is a win. They are pro-Russia, so any opportunity to downplay what is happening in Ukraine is a win.
3, but mostly 2. It's also worth noting that one of the reasons why Don Jr. is seeing less videos of Ukraine is because Musk is actively suppressing videos of Ukraine on Twitter, while boosting videos of Israel.
As with most Republicans, their anti-semitism takes a back seat to going after Biden/Democrats. Right now Republicans (and Musk) are pushing the narrative that Biden criticism of Netanyahu green-lit Hamas to attack Israel and that Biden releasing $6b of Iran’s money to release 5 Americans bankrolled the attack. As a result, allowing videos of dead Israelis benefits Musk. Additionally, their anti-Semitism is trumped by their Islamophobia.
Look up Jodi Hildebrandt, the counselor who was encouraging and helping Ruby Franke (former popular youtuber) abuse her children. I grew up with a family who was part of the "porn is EVIL" strident LDS subgroup. Sad, destructive stuff.
It was a joke. I think "how to VPN" was the largest google search in Utah for a few weeks after the law took effect.
It's not surprising if you read the ravings of Bannon which were scrutinised when he was White House Advisor back in '16, In the alt right fever swamps, Putin and Israel are seen as natural white nationalist allies. The incoherence is the virulent anti-semitisim in the same movement Musk, as a fellow traveller, seems to have adopted many of these incoherent leanings.
Not sure if that article has ben posted here before.....The author nailed it. Muske is a bad actor. He is simply toxic and dangerous.
