    The best take I have seen on twitter - yet the most overlooked - is that because it is text based it has been dominated by people who are good writers. e.g journalists, pundits, activists, niche nerds etc

    The problem for Threads is Meta does not want to do news and instead is focussed on brands, celebs, influencers etc but most of that content is not text based. Few celebs are acting out on twitter main. It's all scripted content from their media teams.

    I do feel like the point of threads was more to try to damage Musk

    When I go to to bluesky I see the conversations i now remember from 10 years ago - but the scale is tiny. Like i can read my whole feed in about 3 mins

    The WSJ today noted that while Muskie railed against authoritarian U.S. policies for containing COVID, he didn't say boo about China's even-stricter policies. Because China has his Telsas over a barrel, should the country decide to disrupt his battery supply train.

    Something to think about the next time that Musk "tells it like it is."
