Re: Why is the media saying it's close when every one knows Bush will win easily? Yeah well, your "sure thing" this time is going to send you the way of the Australian bookie. Kerry. Get used to it. (crosses fingers against Diebold factor)
I can't wait to lay the smack down that your boy lost to John ********ing Kerry. Jphn Kerry - the most liberal, biggest flip-flopper just knee-capped the War President. Just remember, when the obits are written, we'll all nod in agreement that it was when Bush took a hard right after 9-11. And to think Dubya could have easily coasted to a 15 pt victory...
This isn't smack, but is anyone else just tingling with the anticipation of the announcement by the Republicans (if Bush loses by more than 5 points), that they're better than the Democrats because they're not challenging the results (assuming they don't challenge the results)?
Based on the numbers I have been seeing on the web and the turnout numbers, I am about to prepare to get freaking stinking drunk at the bar tonight and then egg the local GOP headquarters. Bush is going down big time tonight and I couldn't be happier!
BTW, who are we talking smack too? It seems the small Conservative contingent of BS has evacuated. Save for the small InTheNet lunatic fringe.
Where do you get this? It's a COMMON fact (you will see mentioned endlessly tonight if you watch the election coverage) that Republican votes get counted later as rural vote counts come in. Yes, Democrats may physically VOTE later than Republicans, because most Democrats are just waking up come afternoon, but the vote COUNT in urban areas are tabulated earlier than rural districts in general.
While I'm here.... One of my comedy idols, Phil Hendrie, lamented that Kerry was having a surge because people forgot September 11th. Phil, Kerry's having a surge because people remember September 11th. And I know you read this board, Phil. Don't try to hide.
Well, one good thing for you guys, if your State ends up Blue, Osama bin Laden will spare you his wrath. That is, if you believe Osama. I personally think NYC will be the target of 80% of all future terror attacks no matter what.
Osama hates all Americans. Not just ones that vote for Bush. Wake up and smell the coffee. It is cold, and bitter.
Great thread. Laughing my ass off. Can't think of anything else to type. Seems whatever good lines I had thought of were easily squashed by the classics posted here. Anyway, Kerry pimps Bush to the streets of Crawford, Texas. Let's him build his Presidential Library so he can actually start reading books.
Books? Books?! The Bush library will be big print cartoons. And I don't mean New Yorker cartoons, we're talking Nancy and Sluggo here.
Of course the comic of choice will be Mallard Filmor where everyone get's the jokes, but they're still not funny.
Re: Why is the media saying it's close when every one knows Bush will win easily? The talking heads are trying to help out Bush, saying Kerry has an edge according the exit polls (so Democrats who have not voted, there's no reason for urgency). If they need to do this to help Bush out, maybe the landslide is not as big as the landslide I thought it was gonna be.
