We got very lucky on that exchange, the GK blocked that ball with his face and then a Honduran player missed a sitter and hit the post.

He clearly has good technical skill, after the tie the team picked up the pace and Dueñas and him started to play better now that they were getting the ball.

Dueñas and Perez are NT quality imo, not saying that they should start but both are clearly the best Players on the team. I like Villalobos too.

1-1 FT. We need ES to defeat Haiti and for Honduras/Canada not to tie with each other.

The goals from both team were excellent. Enrico with a nice assist.

Haiti were the better team today when they faced Canada and their GK was the only reason that Haiti didn’t win, we need to win by at least a 2-3 goal difference.

I think goal difference is going to be the tie breaker if we win. So we would have to score maybe 3-0 and hope for a Honduras 2-0 win at least or some combination that gives us the goal difference. It’s probably a bit too tough to do that. I am very proud of this group even if we didn’t get the win. They showed fight and heart and never backed down. We need this project to continue.. hopefully Hugo Perez can keep going.

I like Villalobos. Good defender but he tired out way too quickly. González is decent but a hot head. These two vs Haiti are gonna be an issue ...
dueñas is the best of the bunch by far. That midfield duo of Calvillo & Dias is great tbh. Uhm i don’t like Perez. I feel like we look much better with him off & Marquez on. Btw Marquez is great too. Haven’t had a target man in a long time. Marquez up top with dueñas & rivas behind him i think is the way to play.

It seemed like Perez had someone marking him the whole game so that could attribute to a lesser role but he had some excellent plays including excellent defensive moments. I feel like he is an excellent free kick taker since the team lets him take them but has been awful with accuracy this tourney. Hopefully there is something there. We need someone in the national team that has that skill similar to a Cheyo or Osael a few years back.
Diaz is definitely someone to look out for. He was just as important and impressive as Enrico to me because he was able to disrupt Honduras midfield so many times. Another guy to look out for is Claros. Solid solid defense from him. I agree Marquez allowed us to have a better midfield. He should be our starting 9. Rivas to me underperformed but he was getting beat up. Would you guys play with two CAMs in Enrico and Eric Calvillo for the next one with Marquez up top as 9?
