How do y'all see Pachuca doing season?

We're about one third through the season and they've looked like a roller-coaster of a team. They go up then down then up again. However, when they've looked good, they've looked championship worthy!

Another question: Are y'all waiting to see Chitiva? He's playing with la Sub-20.

Team is forming nicely. Yeah rough beginning, but that should be expected w/ the new core members of the squad.

17 points, first road victory, 8th place, but only 3 from top spot.

Pachuca beat a very strong Jaguares to take 4th place. This is no cause for celebration, though, because can also be two bad results from being at the bottom of the table...well near it. However, Pachuca is a good result and some luck from being first. The single table format has manufactured one of the most interesting seasons in a while.

He suffered a foot injury that will sadly keep him out for the rest of the season. I feel this year's liguilla will be the closest fought one in years. I mean 3 points separates everybody. If Pachuca qualifies they can make a run for the final or lose out in the first round. Pachuca hasn't played consistently. One game they play like the Pachuca that earned them 5 trophies in 2.5 years and the next game they're playing like the Pachuca that went to second division. They have the players but not the chemistry.

Alright people our final games of the season look like this:

    Jornada 13: @Club Tijuana

    Jornada 14: v. Pumas (Calero's farewell game)

    Jornada 15: @Morelia

    Jornada 16: v. Monterrey

    Jornada 17: chivas

Pachuca is currently 4th in the standings. Santos the team that's in third has a game in hand due to the shooting incident. Good news happened today and that's that the team who is responsible for 3 out of our 5 domestic championships lost today against Monarcas. The Tigres loss keeps them at 21 which means that a victory against Club Tijuana tomorrow will at least give us the opportunity to get in third.

Club Tijuana is desperate for points and will be a difficult team to play; especially since they play on turf. Jaime Ayovi just scored with Ecuador against the United States National Team, so it's nice to know he may come in with some extra fire. The way the playoffs are looking we can only afford to lose ONE game out of the final 5 games. 3 victories, 1 draw, and a loss can get us in by my moronic calculations. 2 victories and 3 draws can also get us in but that'll be a little trickier. The messed up part is that 4/5 teams that we are facing are in the playoff race with the only exception being Club Tijuana a team that's hungry for points. This is going to get tricky.

    Injury list for Club Tijuana:

    None.

    Injury list for Pachuca:

Jose Francisco Torres (Rest of season)

    Suspensions for Club Tijuana:

    Javier Gandolfi
    Fernando Arce

    Suspensions for Pachuca:

    None.

That victory against Monterrey 4-0 has not only given us a positive goal differential, but it also qualified us for the liguilla. We cannot qualify as number one, but anything else mah still be possible. Pachuca sits at number 4 so they're guaranteed a tie-breaker in the first round. As many know if at the end of the two-legged series there is a draw the higher seeded team wins. However, Pachuca is nof guaranteed the fourth spot but a win can get us fourth or higher.

Next game will be against Chivas a team that is assured the top spot, so they'll probably use an alternative squad but sadly Pachuca is playing away.

A loss vs. Chivas could result in facing them in La Liguilla.

    9. Gallos Blancos 23
    10. Puebla 22

    14. Atlante 19 ^
    15. Estudiantes 18 ^%
    16. Club Tijuana 17 ^
    17. America 15 ^
    18. Atlas 12 ^

    * qualifies for liguilla/playoffs if season were to end now.
    #berth to Libertadores 2012
    ^mathematically eliminated from liguilla/playoffs
%would be relegated to points earned per game averaged throughout 6 seasons
    _____________________________________________________________

Due to certain results not going our way a berth to the playoffs has not been earned. A victory against Chivas will earn it and if certain results go our way we may even qualify for Libertadores.

Pachuca has won also won the U-15 World Title. Well technically they aren't organized by FIFA, but it's still a tourney that involves global competition, The Manchester United Premiere Cup.
