Congrats to DELBUCEO as he leads everyone with an impressive 8 points after just 2 matchdays (and crazy ones at that lol)! I will post the next matchdays for the CONMEBOL 2006 WCQR very shortly. There are still 16 matchdays to go so there is plenty of time to catch up if you're not at the top!

This round seems very unpredictable... that is, more so than the others. Colombia at home for both games... should be 6 points. I don't know, maybe not. Argentina could get a draw from them...

Ok I'm back! Thank you efernandez9 and chaski for posting the standings and the upcoming matches. I have been so busy these past couple of weeks I've had no time at all to post much of anything lol. Well, here are my predictions and I'll try getting everyone's predictions into excel as fast as I can!

My predictions....

Before the qualifyers started I 'simulated' all the scores and made my predictions. However for games 1 & 2 I allowed the emotional side to catch me and messed up, specially with Colombia. Therefore I'm going to post the results I predicted 3 months ago:

Jajajajajaja

Well I said 'simulated' and I want to put more enfasis in it 'SIMULATED'. Even if I know something about probability and simulation, I used mainly gut feeling, prior to the start of the qualifyers. My gut feeling is that Brazil will win almost every game, even if its 1-0, Argentina will be second, Uruguay is likely the third team in the region, that there are 5 teams fighthing for 1.5 spots, that Bolivia will be very strong in La Paz and very weak away, and Venezuela will lost almost every game by 3-0 or more.

At the end I 'assumed' a late comeback by Colombia (with a new coach) and that Chile and Peru will fall back.... That's pure dreaming. Looking at Chile now it seems strong and Peru is not bad either. Paraguay is my guess for the fourth spot, and while I tougth Colombia would be fifth, my gut feeling now is that Colombia will keep its coach and will be almost out of WC06 by the middle of 2004. Fifth spot will be between Chile, Peru and Ecuador.
