Probably not going to be a popular opinion here, but I find this a bit disrespectful. I hate Simeone, but I think if the roles were reversed, we'd call those players clowns.
True, but Simeone is acting like a clown himself. Remember the ‘big balls’ gesture he made after the Juventus game? It’s not classy from our players, but it’s nothing compared to stuff Simeone does.
But let him be who he is though, that's their club identity. I find it unnecessary for us to do that.
Yeah I agree, but Simeone knows where the cameras are and does it on purpose. I don’t think Marcelo and Militao thought about the cameras. Kind of stupid because there are like 500 cameras nowadays.
Meh they can laugh at Simeone and mock him all they want I'd pick Simeone to beat either one of them in a fight lol
Oh im not hard. I just remember Simeone as a player plus i know his intensity. Anyways Punk move by our guys.
Bernabeu fans: "Ay Morata, ay Morata, you never wanted to see it, you were always a sub, rot at the Wanda," Atletico's assistant coach Burgos consoles him. Morata: "I don't care." This is why he posted that in insta
At that point Simeone had been walking over to the Real Madrid bench, the pitch and the corner flag. Probably should have been sent off when Atleti were taking a corner kick and he was basically three steps from the flag giving instructions, but if he gets a pass for all that stuff, then players should get a pass for making fun of him because of them.
You mean, since his presentation. Went full Atleti with "the club I always wanted to play for" and all that nonsense. Even after the match he went on a tear with the "we carry this club on our shoulders and in our hearts nonsense" man shut up and sit down. As soon as they have a star caliber striker you're out of the picture.
I also remember him negatively comments when he was at Chelsea. Burned his bridges as soon as he stepped out.
He went at the coaches there "Conte wanted me" and all that stuff then Conte nailed him to the bech after 3 weeks or so. Alvaro seems like a good guy, but incredibly naive. Always throws himself 100% into every situation right away.
Lol and he really thinks his players are going to play better when they see a screaming idiot making these gestures? Players find this hella irritating, that's why Militao and Marcelo cant hold their laugh. 9 of the 10 times the shit Simeone does on the touch line is not even heard or seen by his players. Just standing there entertaining the bench with his wack ass antics.
Meh. We, and our players, are here mocking a guy that has overachieved at his job since taking over for being passionate about his craft. Yeah...he is whack...
Our players are mocking a guy who thinks calling people on the opponents bench "f*gs" is appropriate behaviour. A guy that challenged Varane to a fight at the parking lot. Seriously, Cholo is a clown and has taken the "its not right, but that's Cholo" thing way too far. The guy is practically running into the field by now. They are not mocking a man because of his age, his looks, or his origins. They are mocking somebody who has chosen to make himself a mockery.
Marcelo is a clown, that's pretty much what you expect from him (especially when someone's giving him good material to work with).
The fun/sad part about Morata is that clearly the best move for him was to be a RM supersub. He could probably be here being a Nacho kind of attacker. The Bernabeu would love him if he kept an ok record of goals coming in as a sub. He is yet to settle after leaving and has not been a guaranteed starter in any of the clubs he joined. He thinks he's better than he actually is. That's a huge problem for some players.
I think he felt like no matter how good he played or how bad Benzema played, even if they were simultaneously at their best and worst, that he wouldn't get a fair chance and that had already happened when he decided to leave. It was an understandable decision. In hindsight seeing how Zidane is still here, looking at the James situation and despite underwhelming/underachieving since then; it was probably the right decision for him then and now. Unlike Nacho he can't play 4 positions and there aren't four positions for him to play in attack anyway.
