Like the old song says " It don't mean nothin" Until he does something in the MLS all the under something goals dont mean anything..
I once got berated for mistakenly posting EJ's service with the U23 squad. Well, it's no surprise to see him lighting it up on that level too. He'll evolve. I just hope we're smart enough to nurture his MLS pedigree and keep him in Dallas.
trade in this lemon I think that EJ will suffer quite a bit at MLS level before/if he has a breakthrough year. Too me, I think he just to reliant on speed and power. While this may be enough with the younger kids, it just won't against men who are stronger and as fast as EJ. The Beasleys and Donovans of the league have excelled right off the bat, because of a higher reliance on technique and individual tactics. To watch EJ w/o the ball is painful. To watch EJ with the ball if front of a defender is just too much to stomach. Watching him with no defenders in front of the open goal just about killed me. He and Gbandi have bust written all over them in my opinion. You know, DC loves these young Nat. team types. Maybe we could trade him off for anything else.
theodore, did you even watch the Burn play at last season? After Kries was lost for the rest of the season, EJ took what was given to him by the horns and showed everyone just a small portion of what he can do.
