well, with the exception of Dominguez, the entirety of the Liga team was exempted from squad calls because of their long schedule this year. I'd argue that Bolanos, Mendez, Reasco, Campos, Calderon, and Salas deserve to get called up.

As for Saritama, I've always likened him to the sacred calf of Deportivo Quito, clearly the idolo, but never really managed to step his game up on the NT. I saw him in Tampa when the seleccion played the USA....he just didn't impress anybody that much. In his defense, he can probably make some solid contributions in the upcoming years to the NT...I'd say there's a 6 year window. I think he's one of those guys that is great for the club but hasn't found a way to translate that over into seleccion-play.

Bolanos, Calderon, and Salas should have been called up. Reasco , I dont know about him, this upcoming game should be an oppurtunity to see what other players who haven't played for NT can do. And Reasco although he plays solid for Liga, he was disspointing in this past WCQ. Taking everything into account, I think Chiriboga did good in not calling them up. Thay have played a ton of games this season, problably among the most in all SA. You risk injury to the players if you push them past their threshold.

exactly...which is why Sixto didn't call any Liga players up except for the GK Dominguez. I think Reasco should get the call up...I remember several games where he carried a small injury into the game, and others where he just wasn't into the game probably because he was out of position. Regardless, in his current form, he's solid.

I do not see the purpose for this game. Perhaps is pure economics. Other than that I do not see a reason for this game.
