    Gomis goal was beautiful..couldnt striker it any better off-balanced and the second one was pure class. a lil scissor kick but Gomis is a hih gprospect for many big clubs and shoulda played for senegal excpet he declined the invite to senegal, but to ecuador good game..I mean France is good and 2-0 is pretty good compared to other teams that have been hammered.

    sorry my computer shut off midway, i read these were France's substitutes, it said that in goal.com, French Subs beat Starting Ecuador, then again, you guys don't have all your players there right? We (Colombia) lost like 6 starters for this european tour :(

    Anyway, good job holding off the French they are subchampions of the world after all and you guys gave them a good game.

    That was France's B team, basically.

    France played:

    Frey on goal. The first choice is Coupet. B.

    Right Back: Sagnol, the first choice. A.
    Left Back: Abidal, fighting first choice with Evra. A.
    Center: Thuram. A.
    Center: Escudé. The first choice is Gallas, second Squillaci. C.

    Defensive mid: Lassana Diarra. The first choice is Makelele. B.
    Defensive mid: Alou Diarra. The first choice is Vieira, second Toulalan. C.

    Right mid: Nasri. First choice is Ribéry. B.
    Left mid: Ben Arfa. He comes after Malouda and Govou. C.

    Striker: Anelka, comes after Henry. B.
    Striker: Cissé, comes after Benzema and Gomis. C.

    Averaging, it was a B team at the start.

    The changes in the second half:

    Evra for Escudé: an experiment. Normally, Evra doesn't play there. C -> D.
    Gomis for Cissé: A notch higher. C -> B.
    Mandanda for Frey: B -> C.
    Flamini for A. Diarra: C -> D.
    Clerc for Sagnol: A -> B.
    Malouda for Ben Arfa: C -> A.

    The second half it was a B/C team.

    Thanks for that...France do have a great team for this Euro. Suprised to see Domenech left a few key players out of his final 23 selection.

    As far as Ecuador, yeah, they missed several "key" players that did not travel to Europe because they are to busy kicking ass and taking numbers at the Copa Libertadiores!! :D
