This is the coach we should of originally gone with. Any ex reserves and youth coach for IDV in recent years is a good move. A ex LDU coach too.

That goal should have been ruled off.

We had the same situation happen with us at the world cup when a player interfered with the GK but of course since it's Flamengo they still give them the goal.

I don’t think it was offside even if his body was past the line because the ball didn’t go to him.

IDV can be considered a big team now.

Also, rumors now point to the fef focusing their attention on Almada. My preference would be Almada over Gareca.

It wasn't offside but I meant when the player shot the ball, there was a player blocking Ramirez.

Now it doesn't matter since IDV won but VAR need to be consistent with those kind of plays.

    Shoutout to Ramirez.

He went from being butterfingers to a big game player

I think Gareca is using us to get better deal somewhere else. We should dump him and keep looking.

I knew it was never going to happen from the start no way were we going to come to a salary agreement with him. I think he knew it from the start as well. All his responses were vague in regards to his talks with Ecuador it seemed like he said it openly more for media attention rather than anything else.

The only reason why he went elsewhere is because the FEF dragged their feet to put pen to paper.

    Sad, really.

    Everything happens for a reason.

Remember we were supposed to have Klinsmann as our coach but instead we got Alfaro, which ended up being the better option.

If my confidence for the FEF wasn’t already low enough, this just seals it.Sad how all institutions in Ecuador are used solely for an individuals best interests and people have the nerve to criticize Felipao.

Yeah, that popped in my mind when he was announced as Korea’s coach.

Aucas and Liga is going to be a good game. Both teams need to win.
Something that has been bothering me about Barcelona is that you can’t keep trying the same bs over and over again. It worked once but it’s time for Bustos to go.

Saw this earlier today and read a comment that they might have an extra two teams if they qualify to the group stages.

Honestly the only time Barcelona was super functional was when Almada mixed youth with experience back in 2016/17.

Now it's just a bunch of players thrown together and hoping it works.

    To an extent.

We'll never know what Klinsmann could have done because Alfaro took the helm.

I seriously doubt that the man who didn't want to live in Ecuador would have established a new, younger base.

He came off as "too good" to coach us when his only highlight was being carried by a talented German team.

My preference from the very beginning has been Almada. He's familiar with Ecuadorian football. His teams play good futbol. If a new coach isn't announced within the next few weeks I read somewhere that Miguel Bravo would coach the NT on an interim basis.

it's kind of ridiculous that we still haven't resolved the coaching position and we have an exhibition game in a few weeks
