KPRC Channel 2 was promoting the latest Dynamo 360 to lead up to next week's game, then cancelled it to carry the end of the Grambling game. I understand that but want them to air the show, and preferably at a reasonable hour. I wish people would tweet @RandyMcIlvoy or email him to remind him that there are Dynamo fans that enjoy the programming.
KPRC just tweeted that since football ran long, the show will air tomorrow morning at 11:30. I still think its a good idea for people to let 2 know we plan to watch.
They had to carry the Grambling game, I mean come on, just look at the TSU attendance and you know that SWAC football has a massive following!!! But they have to carry network programming like that, not sure what was on at 5:30 that they couldn't bump. Additionally, next weekend the MLS Cup game is going up against essentially an NCAA Final Four football game at the same time on CBS. It's better than going up against the NFL but MLS really gets lost nationally going up against football directly.
Going up against any American football game is tough sleding. For another thread but there are other options to celebrate our Cup Final in December.
Yeah, that's a great freaking idea! Let's have the Cup Final in December in New York, Seattle, or Chicago! The weather is going to be marvelous! Let me guess, you're going to go on about how weather shouldn't matter for a game. Well the ********ing truth is that it does ********ing matter. Attendance will ********ing suffer, game may be postponed and cause headaches everywhere when it comes to scheduling. Not to mention, you'll be going against NFL games that actually start mattering.
Really, what does TSU's attendance have to do with this? The game was a big deal for those interested, it was the Bayou Classic and is a historical game. I know 2 couldn't do anything about it, there is no way you can interrupt the end of a football game. And honestly there were probably more people watching it than were waiting for Dynamo 360. I just didn't like the way they handled it. It wasn't like it was in overtime, it seems like there was every chance the game would run over, they should have had an alternate plan. The national news came on at 5:30 so that wasn't an option. And they never ran any crawls saying when it woul air. This after running numerous ads over the week advertising the show.
Haha! I was more thinking that if our Cup Final is going to be played during gridiron season, just avoid going head to head completely with any such gridiron games. Simply put, play it on a Friday night in December. How you extrapolated your rant is amazing Ponce.
You've made that argument before, so don't ********ing patronize me. Friday? Really? I'm not even going to go on a rant on how minor league a weekday final would look. Good luck trying to find a time in a weekend that doesn't go against American Football during November and December. Go ahead and try it. If you find it, I'll give you a ********ing medal.
There aren't many folks interested in SWAC football, based on TSU attendance. They should move it off of the weekend to Friday IMO. Especially now that it is at the team remaining with the best record, no reason to make it a special weekend event with all sorts of league meetings, etc. In many markets, the weekends get swallowed up with football interest and coverage once October hits.
I don't want my ********ing final being played on a Friday. What if we have to travel? That's getting two days off instead of one. ******** that bullshit.
Well ******** you, too, you ********ing ********licker. I hope you ********ing ******** the ******** out of a ******** while it ********ing ********s, you ********.
lol.....yea when i post im not usually able to waste time on punctuation......im relying on the vast knowledge and high iq of the readers to get what im saying.......im a lazy typer i guess...lol comeonyoudynamosmokethegals!!!!!!!!!
The UEFA Champions League Final was played midweek for generations. Folks had to travel midweek for the biggest match in Europe's season. It has recently been moved to a Saturday for global TV purposes so that is proof that getting a time slot that allows the game to be celebrated without much other football happenings at 2 PM on a weekend in May. Like us in the U.S. avoiding the other code of football for our Grand Final event for TV. Travelling support can get behind a Friday Final in December.
