Considering we have been following his career since 2011 he is not a youngster anymore but I get your point. There's older players out there. Just when you are getting beaten up as a target man with his physical style it affects you over the years cumulatively.
haha he can def trick a team to giving him $1m next season to give him a shot but he isn't getting any younger. to me he is like Quintero a never was. Had some crazy promising moments but was kind of a meh player. Same with Muriel. Which is fine not all our guys can be super stars or even star players. Argentina has a ton of shit players. It just very high expectations for these guys
Quintero? They don’t even play in the same position , and Quintero actually won trophies and played an important part to win those trophies . You lost me there .
guy wasted half his career being a rapper and doing random shit even at 20 he had no stamina. Also did the oddest transfers of all time In Italy they compared him to Veratti. Muriel they called the Colombian Ronaldo. Muriel I had really high hopes for. Zapata had 1 great season and is a never was.
Quintero will likely be remembered more by hardcore River supporters than most other subsets of fans. Personally, I wish he could have had a full career in Europe - but I guess a player like him would have been very exciting to watch in the 80s / 90s Zapata had a couple good seasons but 1 monstrous season. Like most Colombian attackers he was not a stat machine for the NT most likely due to poor tactics, but there is no stat for that unfortunately Muriel was just too inconsistent at the NT level. But when he had his moments, they were good ones. Poor guy just never could play 90 minutes which was always my biggest gripe
Now drink about 14 beers the night before and then put your treadmill outside in 95 degree baranquilla sun without eating anything prior to the workout. That is true stamina.
I have not drank in like 8 years but yea Barranquilla was bad....... but Cartagena that shit was fking Satans butthole
I went to Santa Marta when I was 8 and still remember the hot ass weather when I stepped out the airplane I couldn’t even breath the first 2 minutes plus I was a chubby kid but got Dan that was intense
i had one small spell in my life where I enjoyed beer and that was at the age of 16/17, ever since then I don't find it even the least bit appealing
have you been to miami at any point in the year? its literally never ending. My worst nightmare normal cities get a break from this kind of weather
I live in NYC and come summer time - July/August I wear two shirts to go to work. One to get sweaty and sticky from the commute/walk. One that is clean and fresh for the office Growing up in south Florida and playing baseball in the summer I always went through 2 shirts per game. One summer I was a bank teller and I dreaded going outside to the drop off where people left their deposits at 2/3 pm. Those 10-15 minutes outside would ruin my button down the rest of the day LOL
I literally get weird rashes on my skin on a regular basis when I get too warm (which is pretty much always). I have to use cortisone to get it to relax otherwise it takes over my skin I was not made for this weather
Rolo opinion here: Miami's weather is usually fine from October to May. June to September, specially August and September are hell, since it's hot all day long, unless there's a storm in the area. Personally, I grew up in a cold city, and I dreaded anything hotter than Medellin, but I'm now more adapted to hot weather, so I'm OK with Colombia's Caribbean cities weather, with one caveat: Damn it's nice to have AC everywhere like we do in the US. There are situations in Colombia where you cannot escape the heat just by jumping in your car, or going to a mall.
Colombia does not have heat like Miami anywhere. Also the weather is never fine here, its permanently humid and in the "summer" all it does is rain multiple times a day which makes it worse. I will never be adapted to hot weather, need to move asap
