Another look at the German away shirt. I didn't really like it at first, but now that I have seen the team wear it, I think it's not so bad after all.

Has France ever worn red? Because I don't recall. A bit strange and untraditional. Does this mean the white is the 3rd shirt or gone for now?

It's gone until Nike takes over in 2 years.

Why is it gone "until" Nike takes over?

I don't know if anyone has thought of this or talked about it. But how smart was Nike's upper management in sponsoring Portugal NT in 2000...

I bet you they knew about Ronaldo and Quaresma before anyone.lol

nike should go out of business, fukin garbage styles last 6 years!
Worst jerseys for euro 2008 are:

    1) turkey away kit (a flag patch on a white t-shirt, and for 90$! )
    2) france jersey, disprortioned emblems, and designs
    3) greece jersey

not when nike gives them the highest deal for a NT soccer jersey ever:

42,66M€ a year on a 7 year contract  it's twice what adidas was paying for it so far

The one thing I'm really happy about re: the Dutch shirts is that our FA has never allowed Nike to do them poncey gold numbers. They're almost as bad as gold football boots.

It's not just red, it's black, red, gold our national colors. In other sports nearly all german teams has this kind of colors on their trikot.
It's a unique color distribution and i like it more than our old Ireland away jerseys. ;)

They do? I don't think so. White is the German color when it comes to sports. Look at athletics, hockey, basketball, etc.

There are some exceptions, but usually it's white. White used to be our racing color as well until the first silver arrow was slightly too heavy and they had to take off the color. And since it has been so successful, our racing color has been silver ever since...

Gold on orange would look incredibly stupid...on other colors it can work though, eg. the German away shirt looks pretty good with the gold IMHO.

They can pay them as much as they want...but if the FFF says, "We like red to continue to be our away color," NIKE won't say, "Sorry, we in Beaverton, Oregon have decided to go white again."

The only way they could pursuade the FFF to do this is by showing statistics with $$$ of how many or how little red away jerseys they have managed to sell, but otherwise, they won't just come out and say, "next year you are going to be wearing *fill in the blank* color".

The Dutch shirt is one of the better ones from Nike because I like what they did with the collar. Blue or Azzurri and Gold works :D Black and Gold works too.

To follow are all the confirmed jerseys for Euro2008. For easy quoting purposes they are in individual posts. Two notes to make - one, Romania have not yet confirmed their away jersey, and as such only the home jersey is pictured. Second, Sweden are yet to confirm their away jersey for the tournament (as it will probably not be needed) so their 06/07 jersey is pictured.

All credit goes to Subside Sports for pictures and thanks for their co-operation in providing them.

Also, for in-depth discussion of jerseys for Euro2008 and also preview pictures of club jerseys for the 08/09 season, head on over to the Equipment and Gear forum.

    Right, let's go!
