http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...nsion-draft-minnesota-get-top-superdraft-pick So, Atlanta wins the coin toss and will pick first in the Expansion Draft (December) . The Loons will get the first pick in Super Draft (January). Any thoughts on this? Does it really matter? Who would the Loons likely go for in the Super Draft?
Purely on conjecture alone, I think Danladi stays in for his senior year so he gets to be uncontested #1 pick when LA2 enters the league. As such, I think Minnesota goes Jackson Yueill, the local kid. Fits like a glove for multiple reasons.

Everyone should sit tight. We have more to come... #MNUFC— Minnesota United FC (@MNUFC) December 13, 2016
Can confirm @samstejskal report that Duvall getting moved to Montreal. Sources say the move is for Johan Venegas. Great pick up for MN.— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) December 13, 2016
Never going to get everyone, but I think we can be pretty satisfied. Of course, everything looks good when you only had three players up until yesterday. That's not a bad middle. NOW, can we get some CB's?! If Atlanta get Guzan, we would have the top Allocation spot. Ream has been thrown around. Not convinced that is going to happen, but it would be nice to have that experience.
Due to the NASL stuff...we were always going to be late to the party. I was panicking a week ago, not so much now. btw: http://www.twincities.com/2016/12/14/united-nearing-deal-with-striker-christian-ramirez/
before the Super Draft there is the MLS Combine http://pressbox.mlssoccer.com/content/initial-list-2017-adidas-mls-player-combine-invitees-announced
So far I'd feel confident in slotting Johan Venegas and Mohammed Saeid into the starting lineup. Maybe Collen Warner too. I don't know much about Attinella, but some RSL fans seem to think he's MLS starter material. Femi is definitely too raw to be a starter, but he made an impact for the Revs off the bench a few times. Maybe there is something there to build on.
Pretty much in agreement. I would just add that I would like to think that Heath likes to develop forwards. Can we think that the Loons will draft Ebobisse in the Superdraft?
Ask and ye shall receive. Adrian Heath is apparently going to Costa Rica to scout Ebobisse. The USMNT U20s are playing a match down there. Maybe there will be some additional scouting activities once he's down there since Costa Rica is essentially becoming a glorified developmental academy for MLS clubs. Also the deal with Cristian Ramirez looks very close to being done. Also this is a reassuring quote from Johan Vanegas : “You can count on my word that, minute after minute, I will give my best to be worthy of your trust.” It's reassuring to see the positive attitude. In MLS it's not always a given that the traded player has a positive attitude about the sudden change. Here's a link to article discussing these developments ...http://www.twincities.com/2016/12/14/united-nearing-deal-with-striker-christian-ramirez/

So MN United passed on phase 1 of re entry draft. Also looks like Jeff Attinella is being used as bait to secure the rights to Miguel Ibarra. Would be a nice move IMO. http://fiftyfive.one/2016/12/minnesota-united-secure-ibarras-rights-attinella-trade/
