I think we'll just have to wait until after the U-17 WC to get an idea of who is better. In my opinion Adu is way overrated but I can't compare the two because I have never seen Dos Santos play. So I'll have to reserve my opinions until I have seen both.
iv seen adu play a few times... i think hes garbage... honestly... they hyped the kid to much.. the next pele?... i think NOT as for Dos santos... i dont really got an opnion for him. thats just my 2 cents.
I don't know much about either, but I do know this: Dos Santos was born and raised in Mexico and has Mexican blood running through his veins. Adu: I believe he was born in Ghana.
Not being able to form even the begining of an opinion from one tourney, amoeba-like brilliance. Hey, at least your coming up in the food chain, keep trying soon you'll roam amongst the cephalopods.
LOL, dude the bell just rang and biology class was dismissed so he runs to computer lab to make a post and show his leet knowledge. who is freddy adu btw?
Adu is an over rated hack. that guy is horrible. and i can't fu<kin believe that there are so many idiots out there (mainly the Yanks) that think this guy is the next Pele. i have never seen Dos Santos play so i will not say anything about him until the under-17 WC, but from what i have read he is good. he had some good showings with Mexico in the qualifiers.
well i watched the qualifier's one in televisa, the rest well someone already told you where to find them..
I'm seriously amazed, no yanks have posted in this thread!!! As for who's better, haven't seen either play so...
So you don't think he's really that age???? I kind of have the same feeling that he is older than what he says.
I had that feeling as well. Adu's carreer may go down as too much to soon. He's been oft-injured and had a lacklustre tournament. They may have put him in with the big boys too soon. Dos Santos is being brought up in an apropriate fashion. He is slowly acclimating his body to a more challenging pace and style of play. In my area of expertise, boxing, if you throw a fighter with loads of talent against a journeyman veteran who knows the ropes you're asking for trouble. When you gradually step up competition you season your fighter and teach him the nuances of the game with each step up. I dunno, I would like to see Adu do well so footie takes off in the U.S., but even then he needs Michael Jordan charisma, talent, and marketability. It'll be interesting to see what transpires.
