Considering the Burn are playing 3 games over a 5 day stretch and have already clinched a spot in the playoffs, do they really care about the game against the Metros. According to www.soccer365.com Dallas purposefully rested players against the Rapids in order to have fresh players against LAG in tonights Open Cup semi. I've got to imagine that playing the Metros(the final game of the 3) two days later isn't that high on their priority list. TS.
Jeffries said "anybody who can walk" will play in Thursday's MLS regular-season game against New York/New Jersey at the Cotton Bowl. From the Dallas Star http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/to...nadv.aade9.html Also being talked about on the burn board
Dallas has a great chance to finish the #1 seed in MLS as they are only 2 points behind San Jose, who are struggling mightily at the moment.. Dallas would be clinically insane to "mail it in" at this point...
Open Cup [R] Based on the beating they took in their Open Cup game against LA tonight, Dallas will probably be itching to put a hurting on somebody. How lucky that their next opponent happens to be the Mutts. (Mods, please add an [R] to the thread title if necessary.)
3 games in 5 days is all but unheard of these days and Dallas will be ready to play emotionally but physically it might be a different story.. Normally I would say Dallas easy in this matchup but playing 3 matches in 5 days is downright cruel and inhuman.. I'm not as optimistic in thinking Dallas is a walkover in this match..
Well, Diallo is out from 2 to 4 weeks, so scum opponents can man-mark Mathis and relegate Faria to satellite status. Davis still dangerous on free kicks and forays into offensive zone. Dallas will come out intense because of the pounding lalagals put on them. Jeffries will look to avoid a downward spiral in momentum. Burn have lost fewest games in MLS. [drink toast mode] Here's hoping they win a very physical match with the mutts! [/drink toast mode] GM
