Wondolowski: "I just try to read the game and anticipate where the ball is going to go and also just where the space is opened up," he says. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/grant_wahl/10/25/copa-america-chris-wondolowski/index.html#ixzz2ALdUzysF
Ding ding! Though still hope he breaks the record this weekend (and thankful he didn't do it against LA). He's just so damn nice. My sister got a high five from him over the weekend at the Earthquakes/LA game. He walked down the player path and just was SUPER welcoming to the fans - more so than teammates. He looks like he just loves to be there at a game - not a single morose, depressed or bummed out look...ever. Dude's just one genuinely awesome individual (which makes Lenhart stick out like a sore thumb when standing next to him, but that's a different topic). If he ever lost his lid I'd wonder what jerk did something epically bad because I don't think I've ever seen him mad (minus when he was super pissed at himself for missing the sitter at the Gold Cup). I say all of this as an LA fan.
His runs are more vertical. What I like about Wondo is his ability to vary the pace of movement and to drift into space, somewhat like the Master, Romario.
