Here is a link to information on game schedules, etc., including the YES clinics. Did the tickets cost that much last year? http://www.vbsports.com/guessWhosComing.htm *** And here are links to Final Four stories at the teams sites (except for Kennesaw, who doesn't have one up yet) http://gomavs.unomaha.edu/full_headline.php?headline_id=260 http://www.fpc.edu/pages/Athletics/WomensSoccer/wsoccNCAAfinalfour112403.htm http://athletics.ucsd.edu/news/index.php?id=566
Kennesaw State does have one, actually. It's part of their main site. http://www.ksuowls.com/soccer/index.shtml A little heavy on the adjectives, but it's there.

The day started wet and kept getting wetter ... by the time the second game started it was an absolute deluge. I'll reserve my thoughts on UNO-KSU for later, but suffice it to say Patrice Rose is on my list. An absolutely thuggish tackle that would make Dema Kovalenko proud - two-footed, studs up and over the ball. Our girl now had a broken tibula and fibula and will miss the entirety of the basketball season (the other half of her scholarship). Not bad value for a yellow card. Saw the first two goals go in during FPC-UCSD before heading back to the hotel to write the story. I'm sorry to hear about the injury - since the story doesn't mention an ejection or card, I'm assuming that the ref didn't penalize the offender? UCSD had something similar happen in the Metro game, except it was the keeper who injured Megan Mendoza, their central midfielder... *** Here are the NCAA recaps and box scores of the two games: http://www.ncaasports.com/soccer/womens/results/2911 http://www.ncaasports.com/soccer/womens/results/2917
No, there was a foul and a yellow, but it was a red card challenge in every sense of the word. I'll be letting both the ref and the player have it in an upcoming column.
ks Congratulations! Pierce beat Adelphi, a team that is very talented. KS must be awesome and a deserving winner!
