One of my fave pieces of memorabilia is a signed Keller glove, and I'd love to display it somewhere, not unlike the way people frame shirts, with maybe a picture somewhere in there. Problem is, obviously, it's a little too thick for a frame. Has anyone else done anything creative with displaying a glove or something 3d ?
Nail it to the wall over your bed just like Willie Mays Hayes (Wesley Snipes) in Major League when he was collecting his stolen base gloves. Seriously though, the shadow box is probably the best idea.
Basically a wooden box with an opening for a window. Reatilers use them to display shirts and such. You could even make your own.
You could still take it to a framing place and have them lay it flat and mount it in a frame/shadowbox behind glass, maybe give them a full color picture of Keller (or a US flag) in action or something to use as sort of a background. This'll set you back at least $100 but it'd be well worth it if you want it to look nice and want to keep it displayed for life. Of course, you could probably rig up something yourself for cheaper.
