On election day, you find out that one of a number of things has happened to your registration and you are not allowed to vote. What will you do. Will you be willing to go to jail to defend your right to vote?

It is worth noting that if that happens at your designated precinct, you should simply request a provisional ballot.

I would if I had to, but I'm not worried about it. I got my sample ballot in the mail yesterday.

I already voted, but if I feel for whatever reason they did not count, ....

Why would I have to go to jail if something happened to my registration?

Why is this so difficult? If you register ahead of time, you get a card. If you don't give a ******** but are suddenly inspired at the last minute why act outraged if they kick you out 'cause you weren’t smart enough to fill out the form correctly?

I was reading about the "Caging" plan the Scum have in Florida, and I was curious as to why this scenario wouldn't play out:

Unofficial GOP Poll-watcher: Hey, you! I don't think you're eligible to vote! Let's see your papers!
Voter: (kicks seven kinds of ******** out the guy, and then votes)

I sent in my absentee ballot yesterday, so I won't have that situation. 'Course, if someone does decide to disenfranchise me I'll never know about it (unless one of the candidates I voted for receives 0 votes, but no-one that I voted for is THAT much of a whackjob, altho if you took a look at Darryl Perry's website you might believe otherwise)...

interesting to note that the Democratic machine has been illegally registering individuals who were not registered... most of these people were "transplants" or individuals with two addresses (businessmen with a weekday Chicago address and a full time home address).

In Ohio, there are 4 counties where there are more registered voters than residents old enough to vote!

That's nothing, I'm registered to vote in 3 counties just in Illinois. I'm also registered in 6 other states with the Republican party, but I'm voting Democrat just to **** with 'em. :D

I'll actually be overseeing an "election protection" unit in Virginia on Election Day. We'll be defending voters from challenges of eligibilty by GOP operatives.

Ohio Gov. Taft: Four Counties Have More Registrants than Eligible Voters

Appearing on CNN’s American Morning program Tuesday, Ohio’s Republican Governor Bob Taft painted a disturbing picture of widespread vote fraud in his state.

Taft told CNN’s Bill Hemmer that in four Ohio counties, more people have registered to vote than live in those counties and are of voting age.

Why not just have the voters defend their eligibility? That would be a novel concept.

No, I said prove it. County censuses are public record. County voting rolls are public record. Pick any county and show me the numbers.

Ok, well I'll drive down to the counties tomorrow and make a photo copy for you. Give me your fax number.

Actually, it's an old concept. But when Bush filed his lawsuit in 2000, he changed the game.

Are all of these registrations NEW registrations? Or are they just taking the census polls and all those registered to vote and comparing #'s?
I'm sure a lot of the people who have registered in the past, oh, 4 years, have moved. Franklin County is home to the largest university in the country, and is a VERY transient county as far as residents go.
In Ohio, when you get your drivers license you can register to vote at the same time. When you leave your previous city, county, etc, you have to send back your voter registration so they know to take you off the list.

I was still registered in King County, WA for the first 6 months i was in Ohio. And I still might actually be registered in FL (hey, maybe i should get an absentee ballot :D )

And something tells me I'm a quite a bit more diligent about this sort of thing than most.

Well, someone in the Dems has to try to balance out Jeb and his merry gang of disenfranchisers in Florida. Might as well be the Daley Machine.
