This will be my first game in the AA. I've only been to one game at the Olympiastadion though. I hope Ribery is fit.

Not in the title as that is just too much clutter. :D And you should know these by heart. LOL

Also, Nekki has it in his first post.

I don't know if we can afford to rest players. Nurnberg is not to be taken lightly and they'll want to prove a point. This will be a derby first, cup game second and the way we've been playing so far this season doesn't indicate that this will be a game to rest players. We can't afford another humiliating performance and get booted out of the Cup.

We have too many players hardly running. I see no point starting them and getting them even more tired than before...

Re: DFB-Cup Bayern Munich v 1. FC Nürnberg

These are modern professionals who have available to them the greatest and most up to date fitness and conditioning equipment and coaching. If they're not running its not always down to being tired. There are players who play in much more demanding leagues with tougher schedules and they don't tire as easily and continue performing.

What would make no point is playing without two of our most important players in a game which we have to win and cannot afford to take lightly. If anything, take them out at halftime or after we are up.

If we don't use Kroos or Sosa in this game for many minutes then why do we have them even in our squad? They must get at least 45 minutes each!

Secondly, no more Lellinho and van Dumbass can be rested as well

Yea its the ideal time to use them if they are going to be part of the team this year.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like this start:

    ----------------------Rensing-----------------------

    Oddo--------Lucio------------Micho----------Lahm

    -------------Borowski/Ze----Schweinsteiger----------

    ----Sosa-------------Kroos-----------------Ribery

    --------------------Toni---------------------------

A line up not featuring MvB or Lell......in other words, we won't be seeing this but one can hope.

Good idea for the lineup a Borowski + Schweini combo seems kind of ideal given the out of form of Bommel and the lack of quality with Ottl. The advantage with Boro and Schweini is that both have on paper the strength for defensive duties and winning defensive duells but they are also able to provide a quick switching into offense when they actually do win a ball. I'd love to test this lineup against a 2nd league team

Should Ribery be starting after missing a few months though. I`d prefer him to get a good 30 minutes and then to possibly start the next game.

    There's a saying...Beggers are not choosers..
Ribery on his worst day can do much better than what Bayern did today. So yeah, lets hope that he plays from the next game and regains his form "on the pitch".

Anybody remembers THIS DFB-Pokal game at Olympiastadion (in front of a 24,000 crowd )?

Nürnberg was a 2nd league team at that time, too ... so another thrilling pk's decider after 120 minutes has to be expected! :D

Yeah, that's not what I'm talking about at all though. He was injured for months, and he could potentially get injured again if he plays from the beginning.
