I am very proud of being Chapin and to have a Chapin playing for my favorite baseball team. Welcome Andres Aguilar to the Baltimore Orioles! Forget the free-agent market. The Orioles clearly want to do most of their shopping in the international market. The Orioles have signed Andres Aguilar, an 18-year-old outfielder from Guatemala. He'll be assigned to the Gulf Coast League team unless the roster is full. If there's no room, he'll be placed on the Dominican Summer League team. Here's Aguilar taking a round of batting practice: Fred Ferreira, the Orioles' executive director of international recruiting, returned home from Guatemala yesterday after signing Aguilar. http://www.masnsports.com/school_of...gn-18-year-old-outfielder-from-guatemala.html

"Maca" Medina: "Quiero ir a Saransk a que Erick [Barrondo] rompa el récord del mundo y gane el mundial." [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pimcWVdodEU#"]RIGOBERTO MEDINA TÉCNICO DE MARCHA NACIONAL, HABLA SOBRE EL FUTURO DEL EQUIPO. - YouTube[/ame] The 2012 IAAF World Race Walking Cup will be held in Saransk, Russia in May 12-13.
The IAAF World Race Walking Cup is this weekend in Saransk. In the Men's 20km, hosts Russia and the Chinese are the obvious favorites, then comes Eric Barrondo. Alex Schwazer (best time this year) won't be competing. Originally Jamy Franco was doubtful (knee) and Siglo21 said she would travel, but I am unsure if she will take part because she is not on the list published by the COG today: Erick Barrondo, Jaime Quiyuch, Aníbal Paau, Mirna Ortíz, Mayra Herrera, Luis Ángel Sánchez (the latter junior 10km). I am also unsure which competitor(s) is (are) participating in the 50km.
Erick Barrondo disqualified at the Saransk world championship for triple warning when he was fighting for the podium. FFFFFUUUUUuuuuuuuuuu http://www.prensalibre.com/deportes...-Saransk-Rusia-descalificado_0_698930223.html
