Dempsey needs the open space of the midfield to really run at people. It will be Ching and Donovan up top versus Mejico.

He starts every match for Houston unless perhaps a knee strain or playing on turf.

Dynamo start pre season training Feb 2nd.

So,in other words,he's not in training right now.

Altidore is,although he's not getting first team time.

Thanks for getting my point Russ. Maybe you can answer this follow up question for me too:

So which one would you say is more match fit at this point in time?

The point being that there are plenty of valid reasons to argue for Ching getting the start over Altidore against Mexico, but match fitness is not one of them.

Does Fulham feel that they are in the safety zone?

This would be a solid move for the future if Derby doesn't request a fortune for Barnes.

I would expect the Rams to jack up the price on Barnes, though.

I'd like to see Fabian Delph move, but success in 3rd tier football does not make you worth 6mil. That is too risky. At 4 million maybe. Fulham can't afford to waste that sort of money. Leeds needs to quit acting like they have a 1st tier squad. Delph could be a good talent, but he needs to go up against some real competition before he can legitimately fetch such a high fee during such hard times

They better not feel safe, either. 2 bad weekends is all it takes.

Guys, Ching has been training with the USMNT for weeks before this and will continue training with them through the Mexico game. With respect to training, both players have trained sufficiently. While neither Altidore nor Ching have much game time recently, Ching did play a match against Sweden and Altidore hasn't done so recently, so, in my book, Ching is slightly more match fit.

He's a very good player, attacking midfield/withdrawn forward. Can't imagine what Derby are thinking- close to the relegation zone and sending off one of their best players.. He's been injured for the past year- just came back and scored I couple goals already.
They should probably sign Ledley from Cardiff, let Leon go to Germany and call it a day.

Yes he is a good player. I think he had interest when Derby first came into the EPL but they didn't want to sell him. I wonder what changed. I believe he scored 2 goals against Man U.

Sky has two headlines for Andreasen - the deal is delayed... then, after another hour, the deal is done.

The Kicker announces the deal as complete. (€2.5M = €500K now + €2M in the summer)

    http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/503769/

This gives Fulham about $11M (Bullard's £5M/$7.2M + Andreasen) for two deals.

If Barnes is in on loan, then I'd go for Ledley too.

he did score twice vs. Man Utd. I've seen him a lot on the wing and withdrawn forward, I don't know if he's a direct Bullard replacement, but he'll help.

I still think Fulham need another forward. Zamora is just dreadful.
