Benzema did not train with the team today as he continues to recover from his injury. He is expected to participate in group training tomorrow, if he doesn't then he will miss the match against Inter Milan in UCL.https://t.co/w6p0G62bU2 pic.twitter.com/ao142ZdjNo— Daily Madrid (@DailyMadridcom) November 23, 2020
November was a disappointing month for Real Madrid⬇️ 1/9 pts in La Liga⬆️ 6/6 pts in UCL✔️ 2 Wins❌ 2 Losses✖️ 1 Draw⚽️ Goalscorers: Benzema (2), Ramos (1), Mariano (1), Hazard (1), Rodrygo (1), Casemiro (1) pic.twitter.com/aLc8AzOinF— Daily Madrid (@DailyMadridcom) November 30, 2020 8 points dropped in La Liga, what a disaster.
This is Covid season so I don't expect this team to steamroll over the others or anything. But I have to wonder if ZZ is actually trying to come up with solutions because I see no improvements or new ideas on the field. It just looks like ZZ picks up a starting 11 and just tells the guys to move the ball around in midfield then attempt a long ball or a FB to advance then they exchange passes with the wingers or Benzema until they can get a chance to cross. If this is all ZZ has got, maybe it's time for us to change things. If he really believes Marcelo can be recovered, God bless him for being so nice to a friend, but it's time to move to a new team.
With Inter beating BMG, we risk ending up fourth in the group. If Inter beats Shakthar they will have 8 pts If BMG beats us they will have 11 pts This is how the table would look 1. BMG - 11pts 2. Inter - 8 pts 3. Shakthar - 7pts 4. Real Madrid - 7pts The tiebreaker (head-to-head games) favors Shakthar over us.
This is probably the worst period for us in the last 30 years. Seriously, we have a chance of not making the Europa League in a group of weak teams. In La Liga, we are 4th. Sevilla and Barcelona have a game in hand. If we loses to Sevilla this weekend, we could be the 6th team. When were we ever in this position?
Luka Modrić will not give up, but he knows they need to prove that on the field."Madrid have always shown that when we need to win we are there, but just saying this is not enough. We have to prove it on the field because just talking is not worth it”https://t.co/NQFA7IlHns— Daily Madrid (@DailyMadridcom) December 2, 2020 This "when we really have to, we will show up" mentality is starting to annoy the hell out of me. I mean i get it, but you play for Real Madrid, you ALWAYS have to show up. I've heard Zidane and some other players say it as well.
I'll be honest and say that to me the squad doesn't seem as united as it used to be. Mostly because the divide between super young players and absolute veterans is slowly showing.
I keep hearing favortism but explain it here? Asensio isn't a veteran. Marcelo is not a starter. Isco is not a starter. We are decimated by injuries and covid so we have to go deep into our bench. Our manager's issue is he shouldn't even play some of these guys with our decimated roster. He should play the Castilla kids. However the Castilla kids are part of ehat @4x4s is alluding to so again, explain?
I disagree. I think the one positive thing about Zidane is that he has the team united. He always does. He's very good at that. It actually highlights how awful the situation is. Normally these things happen when the players stop believing in the manager. That's not the case here. So it comes down to football. Tactics. Systems. All that Jazz.
The season isn’t over. Watch the team beat Sevilla, Gladbach, Atleti. Let’s turn this shit on. League is there for the taking, I know Atletico is going to hit a wall soon like always.
Relying on a 34 year old to motor between defense and offense is part of why our midfield breaks apart in the later stages in games. Modric should not be a starter, even though he is usually brilliant for 60 min. Hopefully we get Valverde back and can keep Odegaard fit for longer, because having Modric come off the bench for 30 min is a fantastic option.
I did not look at the stats. It seemed that Zidane did not rest him even after he played for Croatia during the break. I did not recall being subbed out or rested.
Asensio has more seasons at the club than he does have world class performances for the club at this point... but Zidane prefers him to world famous superstar players who ate more proven in and outside the club. You think the players are united. Maybe that's not a good thing if it means guys like Isco and Marcelo and now even Hazard can be completely unmotivated.
Zidane has always rated Asensio. Asensio was injured for a long time and came right back to be a significant rotation players while others didn't get that chance. Players like Isco and Marcelo are now on the bench but they still play more than they should have. We started Marcelo in a lot of crucial losses last season and even this season to rest Mendy when he is younger and fresher than other players that are not rested ei Benzema or Kroos. Pretty much the only players that need rest are the ones that Isco and Marcelo covered. He did the same with Valverde for a while resting him and playing an out of form Lukita but luckily Lukkta has found his form again. The reality is the players that he didn't want and were shipped out are better than the ones he wanted and kept. Zidane has always played favorites but to his credit, they would come through for him so it was fine..but now it's looking like they are not and we are in trouble.
The last time Real Madrid defended the title was in 2007-2008. It's crazy how much we struggle to keep it when we win it.
Modric shows up. Can't say the same about the rest. It's sad to see Modric sprinting back on a counter attack faster than many others. Dude's playing his heart out.
🚨🚨🚨 Luka Jovic ya da negativo y vuelve a estar disponible para Zidane https://t.co/t46OAkZD2p Informa @hugocerezo— MARCA (@marca) December 3, 2020 Jovic is back
This dude caught covid when Benzema was injured then finally became negative only after Benzema returned.
