Me neither, he was included on the substitutes bench though. Couldn't find any report about an injury either.

Someone posted the information. He felt discomfort or something so Zidane had to go with Marcelo.

Went on a two week vacation and have been out of the loop. Seems like I missed a lot

Anyone willing to fill me in on the major stuff? It appears half our team is injured

    Caaemiro and Hazard have covid
Benz minor injury and should be fine
    Mendy apparently had a knock.
Valverde is the real injury concern. Reports were 1 month but now someone mentioned 3 to 4 months.

Regarding Valverde, I see a lotta folks want some kind of time line because he’s such an important player and there hasn’t been a lot of clarity about this in the press. Maybe they’ve updated it in the last 2 days, I’ve been busy.

He has a tibial fracture from what I read and I saw a pic of his at home, he was in a compression boot and no surgery is needed as far as I know. For fractures like these it’s usually 6-8 weeks. He can possibly come back in 6 weeks but that would be what we call “rushed” back. That would be my estimated time line, for what it’s worth.

What do you mean by "coming back"? Removing the compression boot and getting back to running and ball work, or getting back to playing a full game of football?

My deduction from his pic is that the fracture isn’t severe, if it’s a hair line fracture he could be running after 8 weeks, everybody’s recovery is slightly different but that’s what the usual time frame is. Most of the healing in the bone happens way before but you have to give it time. And after that his ability to play in a match depends on how well he’s taken care of himself while rehabbing. So I wouldn’t expect him back for at least 2 months plus another week or two to gain some strength in the injured leg (this can be done, to an extent, while rehabbing too).

I don’t have all the facts, I’m just giving the general time frame for uncomplicated tibial fractures.

My rudimentary understanding is hairline fractures are the worst for medical teams. When the doctors give timelines it's usually the longest end of the spectrum due to the patient not being able to accurately determine if they're healed or not.

I had a hairline fracture in my metatarsal in preseason, but the medical staff didn't supersede my dumbass who felt okay. It was reinjured twice and I got barely a handful of games that year.

Shakthar & Sevilla away, Gladbach and Atleti at home, all back to back. I just can't see us dropping points at one of these matches. If we win them all it would be incredible.

Hazard is allegedly still testing positive so he might miss the Villareal match at least.

Unfortunately obesity, weight and overall poor physical health (diet, exercise) factor into the severity of the virus for some people. Hazard may be one of them.

Ramos looks like he'll be out a couple of weeks at least if it's his hamstring.
Varane subbed at halftime due to injury.
Militao and Casemiro also unavailable due to covid

We will finally get to see our team play with 10 attackers!

Injury list - Ramos, Varane, Mendy, Fede, Odriozola , Nacho, Carvajal , Benzema??

    Covid - Hazard, Casemiro, Militao

No coach can win with this kind of sheer bad luck.

Surely Castilla players are going to fill the roster.Anyone knows about who all are some decent options from Castilla?

Injuries/Covid,ZIdane never changes with his line ups, terrible football being played,no style......it is hard to expect anything from this season.

Just hope everyone stays healthy in these difficult times that we live in and get top 4.
