Hello bigsoccer - We've made a few updates recently to dcunited.com. Under the "About D.C. United" header we've updated the All-Time Register and added an All-Time Award Winners and All-Time All-Stars page. Check it out and let me know of any omissions or errors, as I know hundreds of heads are better than one. Also, be looking for the launch of new web headers today or tomorrow, as we move into our Tenth Anniversary season. I think you'll like the history of DCU they recall.. More updates to come. Suggestions and comments are always welcome: ksheldon@dcunited.com. -Kyle
I hope to Adu that one of the the pictures on the DCU site is that one of the Metrofan with the bag over his head with the caption: "Failure: When your best just isn't good enough." Sachin
Awesome thanks. The player registration is great. Well-organized for anyone who wants stats: http://dcunited.mlsnet.com/MLS/history/register.jsp?content=players&club=dcu
I like the link for news/info about Poplar Point right on the front Wish there was more in it (I know, patience )
Hell, Sachin, they can't even figure out how to have DC United plastic cups when you go to the god-damn vending places for a Pepsi - like a high-school marketing student couldn't figure that one out, even the Freedom had a plastic cup - as of now the only way to see a DCU logo on a coffee mug is send UfDC a contribution - and then it is only on one side. Or fire one yourself and risk the lead poisoning. The simplest things constantly escape these people.
The All-Time Uniforms has been missing bits since they rolled it out last season. There's no provision for third jerseys, which the Cat In the Hat is, and the primary jersey listed for 1999 is the third jersey used in 1999 and 2000. Also, the white with red stripes was the away jersey for 2000, 2001, and 2002. The white with red sides listed as the away for 2002-2003, 2004, was only used 2003, and 2004. And there were no sponsor logos in 2001.
Found a few other omissions: Presthus and Goose were All-Stars in 1999, as was Nelsen in 2003. Marco was the MVP of the 2002 game (not mentioned either on the All-Star or Awards pages) Nelsen was Best XI in 2003 and 2004.
Thanks for the replies and comments, folks. Strangely, no one here drinks nor likes coffee.. We're not even allowed to have it in the office. -Kyle
I see MLS competition information, any chance that other competitions (Giants Cup, CONCACAF Cup, US Open Cup, etc...) will be added to the all-time registry?
Not the same tab, but...if you hit "Roster" it goes to a letter from Garber to the fans of San Jose telling them that their team is headed to Houston.
Not like you really need it, but: Anyone? Beuller? Excellent upgrades on the site. Thanks for running the roll-out past the Internet Geeks.
I made one of those with the MPF dogs that says, "HUBRIS: Because DC United is just better than you."
