Who: DCU vs. Nashville (FC,SC, SuCk) What: Sunday Afternoon Football Where: AUDI AF When: 2:00PM PDT Why: Mediocrity marches on How: backpasses and long balls, broken plays and PKs. We are gonna have a struggle based on how we try and string passes together.
FWIW, there may be additional congestion since the new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge is still closed as part of a protest for abortion rights. People should make plans accordingly.
I don't anticipate us looking great, but I don't think we will be dead either. I hope Najar starts outside mid rather than back on defense.

On paper, we are the worst in the league. Sapong and Mukhtar have hurt us badly in the past. So, any result would be a good one. From what we have seen, there are no tactics or coherent approach in the final 1/3. So, apparently it is up to the players to figure it out on the field. With our two defensive-minded players in the midfield (Canouse, Djeffal) and Durkin in there, we should have enough defensive cover. We joke about having fun out there. We really do no need our attacking players to relax and find joy playing together. This is not easy, as there is whole lot of pressure and not a lot of fun when you are in last place. Najar has to be huge in distribution and transition from back to front. Hopefully, he is regaining confidence recovering from injury. Gressel, Taxi, and Kamara have to find chemistry ASAP. Praying for an early goal for the good guys to set the tone. Each game brings hope. Vamos United!
We can't run Najar and Gressel on top of each other, even if they're two of the best players we currently have.
I had a deep sense of dread and foreboding during the first 5 minutes. Looks like that was justified.
Early goal conceded, Najar with a swing and a miss, referee with an unexplained pause in play, and the announcers noting the “sellout” and mentioning the late-arriving crowd. Hey, but we’re having fun, right?
It does seem weird. Like they’re using something up near the leaky roof rather than on the second tier.
I guess it's probably due to the sun angle being a problem from the usual camera position and the inexplicable decision to play this game at 5:00
Ugh. As a reward for conceding the early cheap goal, we were tasked with breaking down their back 5. We pushed numbers forward, and get caught on the counter. You could see it coming. Brutal.
Do these guys give a shit? Lose the ball in your own half and just kind of drift back towards the goal while nash players move into big open spaces for an easy tap in. Also our players are never moving forward whenbthey receive the ball. So static.
