    Someone had to start this.
When: Today at 3:00 PM (everyone try to show up on time for once)
What's at stake: DCU wins and they're in.

I'm channeling memories of Lewis Neal in 2012. Let's get it done.

    Alright lads? English boy here.

Been following wazza and he seems to be doing well. They show the us games live on sky sports and to be honest, I'm starting to enjoy it .it's a bonus game really in a Sunday and there is something very non threatening about it.

My side with. 3-1 yesterday so in high spirits .Hope you win today .

As much as I like Stieber, I really felt comfortable with De Leon at right back, so I'm looking forward to Arriola slotting back into attack.

And as much as I like Durkin, I'm thrilled to have Moreno back.

Let's hope that Hamid is fit to start, and we could have our best 11 out there today.

    Playoff scenarios for today:

DCU wins, and it's playoff time, regardless of what MTL does.

DCU ties, and it's playoff time if MTL ties or loses.

DCU loses, and it's playoff time if MTL loses.

Looking at playoff seeding, DCU can jump to 5th with either a win and a CLB loss or tie, or a tie and a CLB loss

They might as well win and get it over with.

    Vamos!

Do you remember our DCU boy Bobby Convey? He's a pariah to some on these boards, but I liked him.

Convey seemed to have a plan of action with definite milestones, and DCU was just one check in the block on his way up. He looked out for himself first, last, and always. They're still trying to round up enough ffriends to fill a table for 6 at his farewell party

Etch wouldn't pass him the ball no matter how wide open he was. I didn't blame him for wanting to leave.

Close game. Somebody's going to be disappointed late.

But I'll say 2-1 for the good guys.

Yeah, took him a season to settle but once he did, he formed one of the strongest midfields the championship has ever seen . He was brilliant in the premier League also - Reading FC legend .

Everyone around me was watching Hamid warm up. He did some lunch stops landing in his left and the trainer seemed satisfied. I’ve not seen him favoring a leg like we did after the tweak last game.

    Welcome Bulldog.

I got us winning 2-1 ‘cause David Vila always scores against us.

I think this game is winnable, but I don't want to rely on a 1-0 result again. Not with Villa on the other team. We should go into this game looking to score at least 2 or 3 goals. NYCFC's defense looks pretty makeshift right now. Just stay calm and focused in attack, and don't overcomplicate things.

What a play by Acosta. Two years ago he may have squandered that last moment by making the wrong decision. The dribbling skills were there from day one. But now he has the maturity to finish the play with a shot or the right pass.

Three players who are standing out for me right now are Brillant, Arriola and Moreno.

Brillant is actually playing like one of the better center backs in the league this past month. He's winning everything in the air and putting in some hard tackles. Arriola is really playing like a pure right back today, making big defensive plays and also playing a big part in the 2nd goal. And moreno is such a 360 degree player. He sees everything, moving the ball calmly and tactically always putting himself in the right position.

DC is looking good, but can't afford to let up now. It's a shame we can't figure out how to get Mattocks on the field, too. I doubt he'll want to be here next year as a sub, so we'd better be looking for a young scorer who might not mind subbing for Rooney.

I would add Canouse to that list. He just always seems to be in the right place for a #6.

Acosta is crazy fast sometimes. Seeing him beat three defenders to dish to Rooney was amazing.

Wasn’t sure Rooney would pull down the pass in the wind to set up the second goal but he got it down.

Acosta almost does it again from the right. Dribbles two but stopped at the third.
