Is anyone planning on going to this game on July 11th in Raleigh? They are taking on the Rochester Rhinos. I know it's only an exhibition, but it gives us fans in the Raleigh area a chance to see MLS action. Personally (and even though it's a exhibition), I'm psyched. I am used to living in a soccer-mad town of Caen in France, so I am dying for a live game. Hope this will alleviate my craving for a while. . . .

DC United is missing Ben Olsen and Santino Quaranta for the Gold Cup.

They have MLS league matches on the 9th (Kansas City) and 15th (San Jose).

I'm expecting to see a reserve side at best. For marketing reasons, they'll have to trot Freddy out for a bit.

Rochester, likewise, has a USL-1 match on the 8th, a US Open Cup game on the 13th, and another USL-1 match on the 15th, and still another on the 18th.

Anything more than a brisk scrimmage would be shocking.

    I'll still be there, though.

Given the level of play in Caen this year, I expect even a DCU reserve side will be good enough. Too bad about Quaranta though. He, alon with Adu of course, is the one I really wanted to see. Kid has impressed me the few times I've seen him.

Pardon me for saying this but he plays a more technical, international game than most American kids his age.

I grabbed seven tickets for this game. Neighbors and friends alike jumped at the chance to go. We're even talking about grilling out beforehand. I am so psyched.

Where in Raleigh is the game going to be played? In the Cary soccer facilty, perhaps? Can someone tell me how the Cary (assuming this match is to be played there) compares to the Germantown (MD) Soccerplex?

Screaming Eagles, do you have tickets for this?

    Thanks for any info ~

The SAS Soccer Park (or whatever it's called) is a bit nicer than Germantown, but not as nice Columbus Crew Stadium.

It's a great place for an A-League side.

Sachin is right in that the main stadium is definitely nicer than the one in Boyds, Maryland.

However, there is no corresponding indoor facility.

And, at least during the WUSA days, they served beer!

Something had to make the soccer they played more enjoyable.

Sorry... couldn't resist, Andy set that one up...

Have there been any published rosters for this game from DCU. I'm not expecting much, but a glimpse of Moreno, Gomez and Adu would be nice. I've already been deluged with requests from my mates in France for info on Adu, but I'd like to see Moreno as well.

Don't know if Eskandarian is recovered enough to play or not.

    Not many tickets left.

Hardly any groups of 3 left in the $20 section.

The only $15 tix left are inside the 18s

I'm thinking the youth groups bought up a ton of tickets.

They very well could sell out the seats and get into the SRO tickets with a decent walk-up crowd.
