According to FIFA, USA is ranked #6 in the world and Chile is ranked #76. Thats right... ranked #76. Yet our highest quality team can't beat Chile's 3rd best team. I mean c'mon, is FIFA really that anxious to appease the U.S. market that it's willing to totally falisfy these rankings? Seriously, it's embarassing. Our guys were very initimdated in the 2nd half against Catolica. We totally didn't appear as a team from the #6 ranked country in the world. In fact, when La Catolica went up 3-2, they were eager and pushing to get a 4th goal, even though it wouldn't have mattered. Embarassing. However, I will say this... I didn't like how they only added 2 minutes injury time at the end of the game. That was a joke. 4 mintues at the very least was deserved. Not to mention, Catolica players got away with a lot of dirty fouls and diving. Those referees were horrible. ps. ...there goes our chance to be in Liberators Cup.

United fought, but we lost to a better team. playing the likes of NE, CHI, LA and Dallas (the only decent opposition in this league) so sparsely obviously doesn't prepare a team for the rigors and pressure of international opposition. is it a coincidence that Gomez, the only player with recent high-level experience was MOTM tonight?
