Sounds fun. So is this a relatively classy joint or a dive? Just trying to figure out if they'll let me in... Cheers, Tim
It's a tapas place (that's TAPAS, NOT TOPLESS!) We can talk about the latter for later! http://www.digitalcity.com/washington/dining/venue.adp?vid=212940 K
According to the reviews on that site, it is either the coolest place ever, or an absolute dive. No middle ground, either 1 star or 5 stars What the hell is a tapas?
Middle Eastern mezze It's little plates of food, with a bunch of people you order different ones and share. K
Our next fundraising event should be for a fake ID for one of our coolest new supporters group members, NattyB.
Hey Natty, When you call, can you post on here what the answer is? I have a friend who wants to go but she's 20. Thanks
Very classy. Wood floors, neat colorful couches. And one of the coolest things is that they use an iPod for their background muzak, which includes Flamenco music, traditional Corsican folk songs, and Spanish blues! Warning: if you order a paella (a saffron rice casserole), it takes anywhere between 25 and 30 minutes. Margaritas are good, tapas are ORGASMICALLY SUMPTUOUS.
This sounds awesome and is only a couple of blocks from my office ! I haven't seen or heard anything about this anywhere else, so thanks for the tip ! Any idea which players are going to attend ? (not that it really matters- I'm there...)
Just got off the phone with someone at LaTasca, she said 18 to party 21 to drink so everything should be gravy. I should be there.. What I want to know is, why havent I been introduced to this 20 year old female friend of yours!
Do it. It's a good place. Celebrated a birthday there (someone else's) and got completely lit on Sangria. I also think it's about one block away from the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop (so everyone can get lit and metro home safely). Hmmmm. --Adam
Yeah, it's across the street from the MCI center on the block with California Tortilla, Legal Seafood and Ruby Tuesday. K
I gotta move back to DC.... being in biazarro-land is still cool and all... but its a rare night to find sangria..... see you all on the 30th...
