So, Asad's just ... not going to complete an attacking third pass tonight?

2-0. Don't know which was worse: Brillant's speed or Seitz's ... everything else.

I guess we're seeing the limitations of this system without fast defenders

    Alfaroooooooooooooo 2-1.

Best pass of Asad's season was his chest control right into Alfaro's path.

Keeper is absolutely awful, zero athleticism.. relying on a defender there to save his ass once again

Seitz actually took the defender out of the play when he did that shit and since it wasn't Brillant, the defender could actually keep up with the player too.

Thank you, Moses Nyeman. Seitz was blocked from seeing a screamer by Yueill.
    Now 3 - 1 SJ.

Team's pretty dependent on Canouse, huh? We're getting run through in the midfield with ease.

Somehow a not depressing 3-1. I could see us scoring a few goals this second half.

Lighten up guys I know you're cranky being up this late.

The goals havent been about getting run through in the midfield. Goal 1: quick turnover in the back that is punished with 1 pass. Goal 2: a pass up the chalk on the right side in which Brillant is burned. Goal 3: a deflected ball to Yueill in which he makes an AMAZING volley. A Canouse would change not one of those goals.

I wish we could clone Moses Nyeman. This kid is great, he never gives up.

Well Nyeman is fast and has skills but his passing and decisions in midfield have a long way to go.
Where was he on their first goal?

Seitz is sucking... when does Bill get back?

The press was pretty effective in that half and it created a good number of turnovers. Unfortunately, we have no clue what to do with the ball once we win it and we can't complete even the most simple of passes.

In the first two games, I thought that our poor pass completion rate was largely due to poor movement off of the ball. Team mates all seemed to run away from the player with the ball, leaving that player with no good passing options.

Today, the movement off the ball has been marginally better, with at least some effort to move in to space to create passing lanes. Instead, we are struggling to complete even the easiest of passes.

Painful to watch. Hopefully, it gets better in the second.

Embarrassing, we already knew very few players on this team are even at the professional level, but these goals they are getting are just too easy.

We conceded 3 goals in the first half and only 1 in the second half, so that is marginally better. Our attack really needs to generate some goals somehow.

And we really need to start connecting passes to our own players.

Not really. San Jose started playing backwards ball in the 2nd half, which gifted us many opportunities. They seriously played a terrible strategic 2nd half. But after we almost made it 3-2 after yet another string of passes back to their own box, they decided to start going forward again, and immediately scored. We simply had no answer to their speed on the wings.
