Dortmund won't sell Haaland in 2021 as his clause is in effect only in 2022. They will make plenty of money selling Sancho next summer. Won't even be surprised if they double Haaland's salary to get the clause to 100 ME in 2022. Their CEO already confirmed they want to renew him and there's no clause in 2021.
Agreed. I feel like we've had a long term understanding with Mbappe he would come toward the end of his contract. I'd prefer Haaland as a goal scoring machine 9 is much much rarer than a great winger. Love his attitude as well. Hope there is any chance we can get both
I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get both if the idea is Mbappe is playing out wide. If the idea is that Mbappe wants to be the CF then that isn't possible. The issue here is if Mbappe wants to be that can he even adapt to it? Couple years ago I believed he could. Now? Not so much.
Same. Thought he'd transition into a 9 but he's going to be a goal scoring winger/forward. Maybe he still can but thats what he is now
Or you can play two strikers up front. Mbappe was phenomenal playing behind Falcao. But you're absolutely right.
I'd like to add that we should look to extend Modric and Lucas as we are extending Sergio. Both are solid options and show up big when called upon.
We play a team in CL and are linked by the lazy media to one their players around the same time. Shocking!! A tradition as old as time. They didn’t even put any effort into it. Player swap. Yeah that happens all the time.
Swapping Isco for Eriksen is a marginal upgrade at best. We already have Kroos, Modric and Odegaard, who are better than Eriksen. Doubt he will come here to be 4th choice CM.
Doesn't even make sense for Inter, they don't play Eriksen because he doesn't work hard enough, Isco is who they replace him with?
If we are willing to match the offers financially, maybe Odegaard can help recruit Haaland in 2022. I hope they are close NT teammates like Courtois and Hazard. Mendy and Mbappe seem close too.
Eriksen is also on much higher wages than Isco. If Zidane would have fancied Eriksen, wouldn't we have signed him for free or on a marginal fee when Inter did? Makes zero sense.
When you read things like this you start to wonder if we’re able to afford to sign any of our targets next summer. In a normal situation, Real Madrid would have already renewed @Lucasvazquez91's contract. But with the pandemic around it's difficult for the club to offer him a new contract. Lucas is very likely to depart the club. [@abc_deportes] pic.twitter.com/A3bTefuQOH— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) November 26, 2020
Lol, the club using Covid as an excuse not to extend Lucas. I mean there' are "other" reasons not to extend him and the player might be willing to take a pay cut to stay. Also, it looks like Lucas earns more than Casemiro, Valverde and Odegaard.
We can afford to sign Vazquez, it's a matter of priorities and the club will allocate that money elsewhere. I'm more concerned about what happens with Nacho.
Is this before or after foreign tax is applied? Either way Valverde brutally sold himself short, 1.5-3ME per season until 2025 is Scottie Pippen levels of bargain. Odegaard is on an older contract so that seems about right, he'll be due for a raise this summer.
Buy Camavinga in January. Rennes won’t even make Europa league out of the groups and they’re falling in the league table. Flo must act.
We won’t sign anyone, let’s be realistic here. We actually need a terrible season for Flo to splash major cash. Imo we need another midfielder plus Camavinga. Isco is gone and I don’t trust Kroos, Modric and Casemiro atm. Only midfielder I am 100% on is Valverde. Ødegaard right behind him.
