Aguilar's has only started to get consistency this season at Nacional and doesn't have the regularity that Davinson has. Davinson is 20 yet plays with the maturity of someone much older. Was a key CB for a continental champion in a continental tournament where he played every single game and has only improved while playing for a big team in one of the top european leagues at such a young age.
Not exactly. At the time of Centenario (when Aguilar debuted), Aguilar and Sanchez were Nacional's CB pairing in Libertadores. Sure, Aguilar wasn't starting too much in Liga, but he had started well over 60 matches in FPC before that with Petrolera. At the time, Aguilar had more credentials to start. Now, yeah, Sanchez has a better resume than Aguilar. But those are credentials, not circumstances. The circumstances are the same for all of them--getting their first starts in very crucial official matches. (actually, Aguilar debuted in a pointless group stage match)
Aguilar's much more inconsistent than Davinson Sanchez ever has been. Not comparable. Especially not his stuff with Alianza Petrolera.

Whatever may have lead him to be a starter or not, you can't deny that Aguilar started those matches. That isn't false. The only reason this conversation is happening is because Zapata is injured. People go in and out of form. It's soccer. That's how it works. And, once again, you're taking the conversation into your own little area. Nobody is talking about what Aguilar is doing now. The discussion was the situations these guys debuted in for the NT, in regards to possibly starting Sanchez in the upcoming matches. What Aguilar is doing now is irrelevant; he already debuted.
But we're not talking about 14 matches. There had only been 10 prior to the point at which Aguilar debuted for Colombia, and he started half of them. Moreover, Aguilar was out injured for the first 4 matches of the Libertadores tournament, too. He was not playing for Nacional at all until March 31st, which makes his titularidad over Najera all the more impressive. At the time Pekerman called on Aguilar, he was the starter of the Libertadores. That Sanchez has more character than Aguilar, I'm not gonna deny. Sanchez makes a blooper or two each match, but he does not play like a 20 year old.
Being starter over najera isnt a big deal, honestly Aguilar was a good back up thats sure. But to say that he was in The same level of importance pf davinson isnt true
Check out what he did after the goal. Amazing CB. All of a sudden I feel that we should've ask much more then 5M euro on him.
Could be the starting CB for a Europa League Cup Champion the season after he won the Libertadores as starting CB for Nacional. Not bad for a kid who is 20.
Barca will be the stupidest team in the world if they won't pay any amount on him and let him start next to Pique. God knows he's much better than any other CB of Barca, including Pique, in my opinion. And maybe finally Masche would move to play in his natural position, the DM. Great debut season for the beast. I am so proud.
I don't think theres a better young CB pair in the World then Sanchez and Yerry. To think these guys could be the pairing for Colombia for the next 14 years, we are talking Chiellini/Bonucci who are the backbone of Juve and Italy for years, and these 2 have more raw material at a younger age. We just need to develop some fullbacks and we'll be set for years.
Out of Sanchez and Mina who do you guys think is better? Surprised both these guys were under the radar but proves how important a EU passport is in Euro football or being white. These dudes where from uruguay or Argentina they would have left Colombia for huge money
