I took my team of 13 year old that I coach to watch the game, and they were not let down by any means. The first 45 minutes ended with the score at 0-0. However, WFU scored a great goal by Tomy Szczypiorski with an assist from Ryan Solle. Solle captured posession of the ball deep in Davidson territory and when the keeper came out he was able to get a pass off to Szczypiorski to put the Deacs up 1-0. About 5 minutes later Scott Sealy drew a PK and was blocked by the Davidson keeper, Creasman. Sealy more than made up for his miss with an assist to Stephen Keel to put the Deacs up 2-0.
However, the Wildcats made it close with a PK of their own. This was the first goal allowed by Redshirt Freshman Brian Edwards of Wake in the last 6 games, which was 499:34.
The rest of the game was between the 18's and ended with Wake fighting off a few late attacks by Davidson.

    Great Match overall.
